Live music, epic gin degustations and film nights - summer must be on its way! It was tough to wittle down the list to five this week, but we're confident you'll have a rollicking good time with the events we've chosen. The perfect combination of things to do in Melbourne.
Why not kick off the week with an epic feast featuring the likes of Movida, Ombra, Town Mouse and Estelle. Why not indeed. The Understudy at Ombra Bar is serving up a range of delectable flavours from some of Melbourne’s best-loved restaurants. Chef Series Progressive Dinner
Tuesday also sees a hefty lineup of notable restaurant venues team up for the Chef Series Progressive Dinner hosted by the Collins Square Hospitality Group. Sample the best of the best in an intimate dinner presented by chefs from each featured venue. Diners will start with canapés in the catering kitchen, before tapas by Bar Nacional, mains by Italian restaurant Chiara and dessert from Long Shot, with drinks served throughout the evening. Spanish Movie Nights at Robert Burns Hotel
Ahh, who doesn’t love a sultry Spanish flick. Starting this week for the month of October, Robert Burns Hotel will be hosting Spanish movie nights every Tuesday. An introduction and free pintxos will be served from 7pm with the film screening at 7:30pm. More details here.
Gin lovers unite! This event, to be held at Arc One Gallery on Flinders Lane, offers you the opportunity to meet 5 of Australia’s best gin distillers. You’ll be able to taste each gin neat, then in a cocktail served with a matching dish from one of our favourite CBD restaurants, Cumulus Inc. Yes please! Tickets here.
Bad Pony ‘Limbo’ EP Tour
Indie rock pop Sydney-siders Bad Pony are in town this Thursday, ready to deliver the goods from their debut EP. With special guests Evangeline and Dalli, make sure to snap up your tickets to their gig at The Toff In Town. Tickets are $12, with tunes kicking off from 7:30pm.
