So we’ve made it to hump month, and we’re needing a bit of a pick-me-up. We think Bey yoga and sweet treats from the Flour Market will do just the trick to fuel us Melburnians. Here’s 5 awesome things to do this week in Melbourne.
Dine with Heart at Luxembourg
Luxembourg cares about those in need, that’s why they’re hosting the Sacred Heart Mission Dinner. And by enjoying a three-course meal at Luxembourg, you get to help too! Sounds tough, hey? Head Chef Chris Watson has specially designed this dinner, and tickets are priced at $100 a head. The cherry on top of the cake? 100% of the ticket prices will be donated to the Sacred Heart Mission. Reserve a spot here.
Deadheads at Owl and Cat Theatre
The Owl and Cat Theatre are hosting the ‘Deadheads’ play to get y'all cultured this Tuesday. The play will explore all the raunchy themes you hope for, like sex, drugs and the Grateful Dead. Written by Ali Viterbi, Deadheads explores relationship struggles and will hit us right in the feels. Grab tickets here.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out the Flour Market at Melbourne Central yet, now’s the time. This baking fest known as ‘Afternoon Delight’, will be sure to put you in a well-deserved sugar coma. There will be artisan sweet treats from Cobb Lane, Lux Bite, and many more. Still think you can resist these goodies? Get ready to drool, sugar fiends.
GUYS! Bey yoga has arrived. Yep, it’s exactly what you think. Beyonce + Yoga = some very zenned out fans. Not only will you listen to Queen B’s tunes, but you’ll also practice some of her dance techniques (or try to). There’ll even be a meditation segment to finish it off, where you can bliss out to some of Bey’s more chill tunes. Get yo’ Lemonade out, and get ready to run this motha’. Check out the deets here.
Champagne Festival at Intercontinental
Let’s face it, we all love our bubbly. But we love our bubbly even more when it’s matched to a 3 course canapé experience. There’ll be freshly shucked oysters from Coffin Bay, and a truffled veal mignon. Not tempted enough? Maybe the trio of chocolate waffled cones will convince you. There’ll also be a free flow of Cordon Rouge, so you can thrive off the bubbly buzz. Book tickets here.
