Someone’s in for a treat this week, with a funky theatre, Christmas photos with your furry friends, and a delicious dinner that is well worth celebrating. Go on, don’t let us hold you back.

Here are 5 awesome things to do in Melbourne this week.

Tuesday 6th December

Pics With Your Pup

Thanks to the saints at Northland Shopping Centre, you can now bring in your pets for a photo shoot for this coming Christmas! Grab your dog, cat, goldfish, or hamster and have a festive photo taken with Santa in the Woodland Wonderland. Now, it is restricted to small to medium house pets only, so don’t get too carried away and bring in your pet cow Bella for a modelling shoot. Do, however come with plenty of Christmas spirit and an excitable pet to share a few flicks. Tickets for this week have already sold out, but there are more dates on the way, with all the info you need available here.

Dine in The Indian Summer

This is a special one for the ladies this week! Fully Booked, the social community that celebrates women in the food and wine industry, is hosting their last event of the year and it’s going to be magical. Alongside executive director of B Lab Alicia Darvall, guests can splurge over an Indian inspired menu and engage with the best in the industry. The esteemed list of chefs includes Laura Neville (The Wandering Chef), Laura Morgan (Babajan), and Kay-Lene Tan (Tonka), who will create a couple of dishes each with wines by Avani and Holly’s Garden. Tickets will surely sell out fast so get on here quick to secure a seat.

Best Of The Butterfly

Launching their 2016-2017 curated program, the Butterfly Club kicks things off for their summer season this week. Events, shows and performances will have you laughing in your seats, with director Simone Pulga curating some of the city’s best natural talent. Things kick off with ‘Grumble: Sex Clown Saves The World’—if that doesn’t have you at least a little curious, then you’re destined to stay at home this week. Find out more info here, with all the details to let you have one of the quirkiest summers yet.

Become a Winemaker For A Day

Head out of town this week with a unique opportunity at All Saints Estate Winery. Located in the beautiful rural landscape of Wahgunyah in northern Victoria, you can learn the winemaker’s art and have your own special day of blending, bottling and making your very own signature wine blend. The day is jam-packed with tours, tastings, and even a two-course lunch with matching wines at hatted restaurant, Terrace. This is sure to be an interesting experience with heaps of knowledge dished out from the experts. Make sure you don’t miss out, grab your tickets here.

Pour Like A Pro

Here at the Urban List, we basically live off of good food, busy schedules and excellent coffee—and that last one is what has got us excited about this event this week. The experts over at Sensory Lab, famed for their specialty blends and funky designer fitouts, are hosting a latte art class for beginners all the way through to renowned baristas at their Little Collins Street venue. Shin Fukayama will lead you through the processes of perfect milk texturing and pouring, and you’ll get to take away some quality coffee to practice with at home! You can grab tickets here, so head over and learn to make some of the prettiest coffee ever.
