With lockdown in place, many of Melbourne’s culinary community have been stood down and are unable to work. The Lucas group, the team behind some of Melbourne’s most iconic restaurants, Chin Chin, Kisumé, Baby Pizza, And Hawker Hall is lending a hand to the community by offering free meals to all hospitality workers.

From today Friday June 4 until next Thursday June 10 anyone that works in the industry will be able to get their hands on either a butter chicken or vegetable curry from Chin Chin or Hawker Hall, or a Rigatoni special from the Italian outpost, Baby Pizza.

There’ll be 500 meals on offer each day, you’ll need to provide a notice of stand down or unemployment to be eligible. Healthcare workers will also get a little love with 50% on all takeaway orders. To find out more about the Lucas group’s ‘BRB Melbourne’ offers head over here.
