Located in Northcote for all you lucky North Shore peeps, these guys have 40 taps of rotating beers on offer and a different, well-known food truck each week! If that wasn’t enough, this Anzac Day, The Beer Spot have joined forces with 8 Wired and talented chef, Zebh, to bring visitors a six-course degustation menu with beer matches!

If the thought of big crowds and television crews expected at this year's War Memorial Museum doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, why not take a moment to reminisce and remember at a more subdued service or parade instead? Anzac Day at The War Memorial Museum
Join the thousands of other Aucklanders this Anzac Day, by coming together in a momentous celebration by remembering all those who fought, served and represented New Zealand and Australia in WWI. With proceedings kicking off at 6am for the always beautiful dawn service, setting that alarm will be 110% worth it. If you are unfortunate enough not to make the start, don’t worry, there is another service at 11, followed by exhibitions, displays and tours. Prepare to feel well and truly proud, people.

With service and parades taking place this remembrance day, you may find that some of your favourite cafes and restaurants opening hours may differ from usual. For a quick round-up of where you can get a bite to eat this Anzac Day, check out our list below.
L’affare Melrose St
Chances are, if you managed to wake up and attend the dawn service, you're gonna need some top-notch caffeine to get you through the rest of the day. Open from 9am until 3pm and all proceeds from every coffee purchase going to NZ RSA, L'affare Melrose St is a damn fine choice this Anzac Day.
Open for biz from 5pm until late, Ponsonby Road’s very own Adam Arnold will be dishing up their fantastic feeds for lucky diners this Anzac Day. With the likes of pork confit, citrus-cured salmon carpaccio and braised beef cheek on offer, we’ll be saying bye-bye kitchen, hello Mr Arnold!
Another Ponsonby Road hotspot open for business is Revelry Bar. Opening their doors from 1pm until late and with no service charge, stroll along after attending one of the nearby parades and services for a cold one with good company.
A local hot-spot alive with community feeling and a warm atmosphere, Meadow is opening its doors this Anzac Day from 8am until late for plenty of drinking, eating and socialising opportunities. With a fantastic farm-to-table menu boasting the likes of sticky pork hock burger, harissa grilled aubergine and pulled beef cheek pizza (yum) your dinner destination is looking pretty damn good
Karangahape Road's healthy hotspot Revel Cafe, is set to open from 1pm until 6pm. With a whole host of vegan-friendly and super-scrummy salads, tasty treats and nutritious feeds on offer, after one too many Anzac biscuits, you're bound to feel a lot, lot better!
St Heliers Bay Cafe & Bistro
Dine in one of East Auckland’s most gorgeous spots this Anzac Day. St Heliers Bay Cafe & Bistro isn’t just beautiful on the inside—no, no—the views of the sea while sipping on a bottle of vino is the stuff dreams are made of. Open from 7am until 9-10pm, staying for brekkie and dinner has never felt so good!
El Sizzling Chorizo
For a fantastic feed this Anzac Day, head to Ponsonby Central's El Sizzling Chorizo for a whole host of meaty madness and lip-smackingly good grub! Open from 11:30am until 9:30pm, bring the fam and expect to roll home!
The Block Cafe
Not only do we get to enjoy such a momentous day reflecting on and remembering such an iconic, historical event and a paid day off work, but we can also celebrate The Block Cafe and their epic fried chicken bene, as these guys are open from 6:30am until 5pm!
It doesn't to be a special date in the calendar to enjoy one of The Tannery's doughy and delicious bagels, but, it certainly helps. Packed full of incredible flavour combos and perfect for a lazy lunch, you can grab all this and more from 8:30 am-4 pm! Pssst, don't forget to save room for their infamous ice cream too!
Family friendly, cosy and dishes fit for a king or queen, Humbug Cafe is as equally charming as it is delicious. Order in their Kiwi classic of mince on toast for a further nod to such a special day in history as they are open from 8am until 2pm!
If flaky pasty pies brimming with top-notch fillings is all you’re craving this Anzac Day, pop into Kingsland’s very own piece of pie paradise, The Fridge to sort those tummy rumbles out. Open from 8:30am until 2:30pm, there’s plenty of time to get stuck in!
Cornwall Park Cafe
What better way to spend Anzac Day than in some of Auckland’s most beautiful surroundings? Cornwall Park is not only home to some of the best scenic views and stroll-worthy walks, but they also have a top-notch cafe too. Open from 9am until 4pm, Cornwall Park Cafe look set for another busy and delicious service this year.
Takapuna Beach Cafe
Sitting pretty on the shore with killer sea views and equally as impressive drinking and eating opportunities, Takapuna Beach Cafe will be open for biz as usual from 6am until 6:30pm for all you Auckland foodies!
Half Moon Bay
