A scrumptious dish of food served up at the ASB Classic

It wouldn’t be summer in Auckland without the iconic ASB Classic. The premier New Zealand tennis tournament stars your favourite international players as they go head-to-head at the ASB Tennis Arena. Off the court, the event doubles as summer’s hottest party with live music, entertainment and—of course—sweet, sweet sunshine. When it comes to mouth-watering eats, this year is set to be bigger and better than ever with a bunch of incredible pop-up restaurants and bars joining in on the action. Here’s where you’ll be eating and drinking at the 2020 ASB Classic.

Moët & Chandon Ice Rocks Lounge

This luxury poolside Champagne club will be the hottest place for off-court action. Take in all the action while relaxing in exclusive cabanas, deck chairs or bean bags. The champagne lounge will be located at the centre of the tournament’s entertainment precinct, ‘The Serve’, and will be across two levels with an upper dining and bar level; set under alfresco pergolas and a lower poolside area; for lounging and watching all the on-court action on the big screens. Order up your fresh oysters here for a taste of the highlife or really up the ante with the Big Glory Bay seafood platter. And the fun doesn't stop there—the lounge will be serving the one-of-a-kind Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial Rosé, the world's first champagne Rosé designed to be served over ice, just delicious. Head along to the Long Lunch on the 11th at the lounge for an afternoon of suave sophistication.

L’Or Espresso

Newcomer L’Or Espresso is the tournament’s Official Coffee for 2020. Expect delicious French coffees, affogatos and everyone’s go-to cocktail of choice: espresso martinis. Dig into the Maison de L’Or Cafe and Patisserie's macarons, croissants, pastries, baguettes and croque-monsieur for a true French experience. Be sure to try their star of the show—tiramisu. Tres Bon!

Heineken Bar

Featuring a menu inspired by New York rooftop bars, the Heineken Bar is the perfect place to quench your thirst offering a full-strength, light or full-taste Heineken 0.0. While you're there be sure to get your laughing gear around a selection of delicious Dutch snacks (think crispy chicken schnitzel with fresh lemon) and enjoy the great tunes throughout the day and night.

Babich Wine Bar

Wine-enthusiasts, this one’s for you. Babich Wines are coming to the party for the second time with their European-style wine garden offering award-winning New Zealand wines paired with divine snacks. We can't go past the hanger steak with chimichurri mayo.

The Schweppes 1783 Bar

2020 welcomes a brand new venue to the Classic offering tournament-inspired cocktails alongside a range of the classics and the perfect Gin and Tonic. The Schweppes 1783 Bar will also be offering a tasty menu of Kiwi crowd pleasers with a twist.

Hawker & Roll

Auckland’s much-loved Hawker & Roll is joining in on the action with a pop-up not to be missed. As the brainchild of celeb chef Josh Emett, devour Malaysian-inspired street food that will have you coming back for more. The star of the show? The signature hawker roll—a flaky roti stuffed with all your favourite flavours.

Baduzzi

Michael Dearth’s much-loved Baduzzi restaurant is popping up and will be showcasing their slow cooked lamb meatball with rosemary, spiced gravy and cremolata. Delicious.

Lobster & Tap

Newcomer to the local scene, Lobster & Tap will be serving two variations on the lobster roll—the classic and a hot buttered version—they come served on an unbelievable fluffy bun that has been toasted for a crisp exterior and warm plushie centre. Enjoy them on their own or opt to pair with fries, or perhaps add a refreshing tap beer to the equation.
