We get it. The two greatest loves in your life don’t exactly go hand-in-hand and you don’t know what to do about it. Before you swap your Wednesday night workout for wine time, we’ve got some wonderful news to share.
Working out with wine is totally a thing. Yep, a stay-at-home health coach has found a way to merge fitness with our favourite alcoholic beverage. Hurrah!
April Storey went viral on the interwebs after posting a video of her doing said workout and fitness mega giants, Reebok, got on board.
Firstly, because who doesn’t love being able to rock a perky booty and drink wine? Secondly, because Wine Workouts require zero snazzy equipment or trips to overcrowded gyms. All you need is yourself and a 2012 Central Otago Pinot Noir with refined, elegant tannins and complex flavours of cherry and plum.
Storey’s workouts feature push ups (with sips of wine in between each press), squats, split lunges and bicep curls, but Reebok went the extra step and took wine to a spin class, yoga sesh, HIT workout and CrossFit.
