Easter might be over but that’s nothing to cry about because we’ve got another awesome line up of events for you to enjoy this weekend before yet another short work week thanks to ANZAC Day next Tuesday. Whether you balance out all of the chocolate you’ve eaten over the last week with some salty, fatty goodness at the Bacon Festival or head to the Bali Beach Party for loads of island vibes on The Aviary’s rooftop, this weekend is going to be a goodun!

Here are 10 extraordinary things to do in Perth this weekend.

Fremantle Bacon Festival | Fremantle

Yep, you read correctly, an entire festival dedicated to everyone’s favourite breakfast weakness. What a time to be alive! Expect bacon cook-offs, bacon ice cream and bacon cocktails, plus plenty of other bacon-related activities. We’ll see you there!

Smokin’ In The City | Perth CBD

Just when you thought all the BBQ fun was over, Smokin’ In The City storms in with their fourth annual BBQ challenge. The hot contenders start stoking up their BBQs on Saturday and the big battle goes down on Sunday.

Torn | Perth CBD

It’s the last weekend to catch UK export Hayley Welsh’s exhibition, Torn, at Linton & Kay. Featuring Welsh’s signature whimsical critters, the exhibition is a little darker and retrospective than her norm, but we love it just as much as the rest of her stuff!

Morgan Bain | Scarborough

Morgan Bain, WA’s very talented and dreamy singer/songwriter with incredible fingers on the acoustic, will be playing a very intimate show at El Grotto this Friday night. Ladies, prepare to be swept off your feet as he works his magic.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone Immersive Event | Leederville

Here’s a little bonus for you (seeing as half of you will take Monday off work anyway), Luna Leederville is throwing a Harry Potter viewing party bonanza! The Sunday event was a sell-out so they’ve put on another night, you’ll want to get in quick to score yourself a night of wizarding fun. Tickets include a goodie bag and access to the pop-up bar which will be flogging alcoholic butterbeers. Be sure to dress in your best robes.
