Here are 12 amazing things to do in Perth this weekend that we think are pretty awesome.
Italian Film Festival At Paradiso And Luna On SX
Continuing the month long film festival, it’s your second last weekend to get involved in all the bellissimo Italiano and drink in that insanely sexy Italian language. Plus it means you get a night of zero guilt carbs followed by gelato. Obviously. There are loads of movies to choose from so head here to see what tickles your European fancy.
Chiquitita & Ferdando At Downstairs At The Maj
Starting tonight and running through to Saturday, Chiquititia & Ferdando are hosting a mash up of two of our favourite things: Abba and A-Ha (for those born after 1991, Google it). Featuring the best of Swedish and Norwegian pop, the duo has put together a cracking show that’ll make even the biggest skeptics LOL. Grab your tickets here.
Thursday 5 October
Exclusive Champagne Dinner At Petite Mort
We’ve decided the weekend starts tonight (you’re welcome) and what better way to get the festivities underway than getting all French at the Champagne Veuve Fourny & Fils Dinner with Charles-Henry Fourny. Now, for those who don’t speak fancy: the most delicious champagne you’ve ever tasted paired with a five-course dinner and hosted by the champagne maker himself. At $225 it’s a bit of a blowout but remember, it’s just about the only time you’ll ever get to see the 5th generation champagne producer of the Fourny family share his story and talk about their award winning bubbles. Plus Petite Mort makes really epic plates of deliciousness. It starts at 6:30 tonight—find out more here.
Friday 6 October
Walk To Work Day With Diabetes Australia
Ditch the heels or boots, tomorrow you’re all about the joggers and that pedometer cos you’re walking to work! Get healthier and happier one step at a time. Even if you live a million miles from walk, commit to walking to a meeting, strolling around on your lunch break and taking the stairs instead of the escalator. Get all the info you need here.
RSPCA Street Appeal In The City
Probably the cutest thing on this weekend is paywaving your donation to the RSPCA onto a jacket… that a dog's wearing. We repeat: dogs will be wearing special jackets across metro train stations that have an inbuilt paywave section so you can tap n pat your way to a good deed. This is all part of Happy Tails Day tomorrow and we're obsessed. If you’re in the city, head to Murray Street Mall between 7:30am and 2pm and enjoy cuddling shelter dogs that are looking for new homes. Cuuuuuuuuute.
Tina Arena At Crown Theatre Perth
The greatest Australian female singer is among our many guilty pleasures (others include Cadbury marvellous creations and dogs wearing paywave jackets). Her Innocence to Understanding tour kicks off at 7:30 so click here to grab your tickets. PSA: sorry not sorry to the person sitting next to us when Chains and Burn come on.

Missed your chance to see the last footy match at Subi oval? Now’s your chance to get amongst it in the Bill Walker Function Room. From 6pm, Youth Focus will be hosting their annual quiz night for 2017 Mental Health Week and you all are invited. Tables of eight are selling for $160 so gather a bunch of mates, pile up a feast of BYO food and help raise funds and awareness for young suicide and depression.
