August has finally arrived, guys! If you’re thinking ‘WTAF’ just like us but are slightly excited at the thought of winter almost being over so you can finally getting some sunshine on those white legs of yours, then woohoo!

This weekend we bring you cheese, whisky, chocolate, yoga, art, pizza, music, seafood and of course….THE OLYMPICS!

Friday 5 August


You don’t want to miss this smash hit musical as it makes a brief jaunt into Perth this weekend as part of the Winter Arts Festival. Created by musical geniuses Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, Little Shop Of Horrors follows Seymour Krelborn as he attempts to stop a strange new plant species take over the world. With incredible puppetry and 1960s rock and roll, this is a cult classic you don’t want to miss.

Tomorrow night our pals at Paper Mountain will be hosting their third annual art auction for 2016. All artwork that will be up for grabs has been generously donated from a wide variety of artists and includes prints, paintings, drawings, sculptures and even wearable garments. This is your chance to snag something cool for your art collection.

Tomorrow night the guys at Halo Espresso will be answering all of our cheesy prayers by hosting an evening full of wine and cheese. Get educated on why and how to pair wine and cheese and indulge in all of the cheesy noms. So much yes!

If you haven’t checked out Glow Yoga held every Friday at the Perth Concert Hall then make sure you head down tomorrow afternoon. Get dressed in your tightest and brightest yogi attire and enjoy a relaxing 45-minute session. The ladies from Yoga Vine will be taking these classes so you know they’re gonna be good.

To celebrate the opening of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, the hombres at The Blue Flamingo are treating us to a pre-sporting fiesta.
