What's On Thursday 12 February:
Valentine’s Burrata Masterclass at The Claremont Hotel
Roses are red, violets are blue, cheese-eating lovers, this one’s for you! The Claremont is teaming up with Galleria Burrata for a hands-on masterclass that’s basically a love letter to dairy. You’ll learn the art of stretching, shaping and sealing fresh burrata, all with a drink in hand and nibbles within reach. This is the ultimate pre-V Day date if lactose is your love language.
Thirsty Thursday Oysters & Beers at Bright Tank Brewing
4pm Thursday marks shuck o’clock at Bright Tank. Perth’s very own oyster king Jerry Fraser will be on deck with all the briny bivalves and banter you can handle. Swing by for salty seafood snacks, ice cold beers and peak post-work drinks vibes.
Food Truck Feast Fest at The Marina Mindarie
Follow your nose to the Marina Mindarie waterfront this Thursday and you’ll find Perth’s tastiest jetty. From sizzling street eats to smoky Brazilian barbeques to dumplings, desserts and everything in between, this food truck fiesta has something for every kind of craving. Roll in from 5pm, catch some live tunes by local musos, let the kids run loose and then stay for a free family movie at Life Boat. BYO picnic rug or get down early to nab a table.
What's On Friday 13 January:
Yoga on the Lawn at Cathedral Square
Ditch your lounge-room downward dog and stretch your stress away this Friday with Cathedral Square’s Yoga on the Lawn. Wellness guru Holly from WildFlower Yoga Collection will guide you through 60 minutes of twists, turns, stretches and sun salutations to help you reset your nervous system, reconnect with yourself and realign before the weekend begins.
Masa Mesa Opening
All we want to do is taco ‘bout our new obsession: Nedlands’ shiny new Latin American restaurant, Masa Mesa by superstar chef Erick Martinez and his wife Lara. From molten-cheese pupusas to sizzling asado plates, the menu is spicy, saucy and shareable. Wash it all down with house-made horchata or a Latin-inspired cocktail, and make sure you leave room for dessert—churros are mandatory at Masa Mesa.
Slush & Crush at Long Chim
Subterranean slushies and basement beats? Friday nights just got a whole lot rowdier. Head downstairs at Long Chim for $12 boozy slushies from 4-5pm and dance under the neon lights with DJs, spicy snacks and cocktails on offer all night long. Each week brings a different kind of chaos—from hip-hop powered by bourbon to tequila-fuelled funk—with this Friday’s all about disco and vodka.
Luis’ Presents Drink Pink with Chris Masten at Lawson Flats
Who needs Cupid when you’ve got gin this good?! This Friday, AFL player-turned-drinks dude Chris Masten will be behind the bar at Luis’ slinging Beyond Distilling’s Wild Berry Gin. It’s pink, punchy and made for partying, with Therapy DJs behind the decks. The spritz sesh kicks off at 4pm and wraps by 7pm, so cruise on in early to sip, swirl and start your Valentine’s weekend in style.
Neurodiverse-Friendly Screening of The Lion King at General Public Food Co
Movies In The Hood just got extra inclusive. Grab your blanket, popcorn and little lion cubs, because General Public Food Co. is throwing a neurodiverse-friendly screening of the Lion King at Disbrey Park. This relaxed, wholesome night is all about comfort and community under the stars, with sensory-friendly settings, lower volume and a welcoming atmosphere. Hakuna matata!
What's On Saturday 14 January:
Valentine’s Day
Love is in the aaaaaair and we’re playing Cupid this year with a quiver full of date ideas that’ll have you falling head-over-heels. Single as a Pringle? No stress—Perth’s got plenty of spots to treat yourself or celebrate with your besties, from Galentine’s brunches to bottomless martinis. Whether you’re coupled up or rolling solo, this Valentine’s Day is all about indulging in a little love.
Nitja at Dyoondalup Point Walter
Sunset, stories, song and dance—this Saturday, Nitja (Noongar for ‘here’) is turning Point Walter into a riverside stage where culture, community and creativity collide. Elders guide the night, while Mongeeya’s grooves, Tehya Makani’s powerhouse vocals and Jayden Boundry’s mesmerizing performance make the Derbarl Yerrigan shimmer. Pack a picnic, soak up the sunset, and let the music, dance and storytelling mesmerise you. This is an unforgettable celebration of Country, past, present and future.
Valentine’s Flash Day at Love Street Tattoo
Cupid called: he’s getting inked this Valentine’s Day. Swing by Cloverdale’s Love Street Tattoo for a day of cheeky, V-Day-coded flash designs that’ll make your heart skip a beat. First in, first served, with ink, free drinks and tunes from 2pm ‘til late.
What's On Sunday 15 February:
Laneway
Sunday is when we FINALLY find out who Perth’s Sally is! Laneway is back and bigger than ever, blessing our ears with a star-studded line-up at Joondalup Area. Chappell Roan and her Pink Pony Club are bringing the pop sass, PinkPantheress and Role Model are dropping bangers, and Yung Lean & Bladee are here to remind us that Swedish rap is here to stay. Add Lucy Dacus, Alex G, The Dare and a truckload of other acts, and you’ve got a day of dancing, head-bopping fun that might just be the live music moment of the summer.
Circus Family Day at The Bentley Hotel
Step right up, tiny tightrope walkers and pint-sized ringmasters! The Bentley Hotel is turning into a circus playground this Sunday with juggling ball workshops, face painters and hands-on crafts that’ll keep little hands busy for hours. Parents get a bonus, too: the bar will be open all arvo for the adults waiting in the wings with a tipple or two while the kiddlywinks run away with the circus.
Fringe
There’s just over one week left of the wild, weird and wonderfully unhinged world of Fringe Festival 2026, and if you haven’t yet made it to a show, consider this your sequined sign. This year’s line-up is a riotous rollercoaster of sparkle, sass, stunts and stand-up: swing into NonnaMia’s nostalgic Italian classic jazzed up for singer Etta D’Elia with side-splitting comedy by James Loitta, or buckle up for a hilariously heartbreaking ride through adulting with the one-woman show Playworn. Get booking now before the final curtain call on February 15.
Perth Festival
As if we weren’t already spoiled with shows and sunshine in February! From February 6, Perth Festival will be back to its old tricks, turning the city into a four-week hub of music, art, dance, film, performance and culture. Expect ARIA-winning acts like Baker Boy and Sudan Archives at the East Perth Power Station, intimate jazz and cabaret at The Embassy, world-class cinema screenings under the pine trees at UWA Somerville, and much, much more all month long.
Galentine’s Bottomless at Scarborough Beach Bar (Fri-Sun)
All you ladies, leave your man home—this weekend is for the girl gang, the gossip and the giggles. Scarborough Beach Bar is celebrating Galentine’s with two hours of free-flowing Aperol, house wine and select beers alongside a sharing menu of small plates curated specifically for the honeys. Show up with six or more and you and the crew will be sipping from a complimentary Aperol tower—because what gals really want are towers, not flowers.
Aperitivo Hour at Post (Thurs + Fri)
Post’s Aperitivo House is your golden ticket to grazing glory. From 4.30pm ‘til 5.30pm, dive into oysters, carpaccio, gorgonzola and loaded boards made for sharing between pals (or hoarding solo, we won’t judge), best enjoyed with one of Post’s classic or contemporary Aperitivo drink. Slide into the State Buildings after work like the sophisticated snackaholic that you are and embrace the early evening indulgence.
Live Music at Postal Hall (Thurs + Sat)
Summer is soundtracked by the sweet, acoustic sounds of Perth’s very own Jackson Venables at Postal Hall. Each Thursday and Saturday, the State Buildings hum with subtle sophistication: wine in hand, grazing platter nearby, and just enough live background music to make your conversation feel cinematic. Swing by for Aperitivo House and let the soft strums carry you into the evening.
