What's On Thursday 27 November:
Angove Street ‘A Night Before Christmas’ Street Party
'Twas the night before Christmas…well, not yet, but that doesn't mean you can't get prepared early with a little late-night shopping from some special small businesses. A Night Before Christmas sees Angove Street in North Perth lit up with exclusive offers from the coolest shops and tastiest eateries and bars along the shopping strip, with a real neighbourly atmosphere that you don't quite get in the dog-eat-dog world of shopping centres this time of year. Head down from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday for an evening of chic shopping that supports the local community, ticks off that never-ending Christmas list, and sparks some festive season joy.
Cocktail O’clock at The Court
Cabernet & Canvas is back at The Court this Thursday, ready to impart their artistic skills on anyone who’s keen for a paint and sip, featuring acrylics. This class will be painting Cocktail O’Clock, commencing at 6:30pm sharp and running for about 2 and a half hours, but Happy Hour at The Court is 4pm to 6pm, so there’s no harm in getting a little buzzed beforehand (I’m sure Vincent van Gogh would agree). $69 tickets include all required painting materials, so just bring yourself and some good vibes (and maybe don’t wear white, just in case).
What's On Friday 28 November:
Queer Prom at Shenton Park Community Centre
Glam up and dance down to Shenton Park Community Centre for a prom night right out of a Hollywood chick flick. Presented by the Youth Pride Network and Pride WA, the Queer Youth Prom is inviting anyone aged 12 to 25 to serve Y2K realness for a night of dancing, laughing, and embracing the beauty of the queer community (and don't worry, you don't have to wear low-rise jeans). This year's theme is cybercore, so picture a shimmering cyberscape of chrome and glitter, along with drag performers, live music, and prizes for best-dressed. It might be a little different to the 10 Things I Hate About You prom we're all picturing, but that's what makes it so fun.
Fridays at Luis’ with Benjamin Witt & Sonya Maher at Lawson Flats
Get ready for a night of foot-tapping and head bopping, because Fridays at Luis' is back at Lawson Flats, and this time, they're treating us to the gypsy jazz and lively swing of Benjamin Witt and Sonya Maher. The guitar and violin duo are taking the stage from 5:30pm to 7:30pm to put on a show that'll make you feel very 1930s Paris, when the era of swing music really grew wings. And if that's not enough, there's also the 5pm to 6pm happy hour, and sip & shuck oysters running all night long to keep your strength up.
Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail
Fish out your walking shoes and your ugliest Christmas jumper (or t-shirt, more realistically), because the Rio Tinto Chrissy Lights Trail is back this Friday. The streets of the CBD will be merry and bright from 28 November to 28 December with 22 dazzling lights installations from Yagan Square to Elizabeth Quay. You can commit to the full trail and really get your steps up, or take the family-friendly Merry Mile for a more relaxed route. Whichever way you go, there are no Grinches allowed, but if you’re really good there might be a few visits from Santa Claus!
What's On Saturday 29 November:
Pride Parade & Afterparty
Northbridge is buzzing at the best of times, but the streets truly come alive for Perth’s annual Pride Parade, and this year is set to be no different. Thousands will be lining the streets (and serving absolute fits) as they watch community groups and businesses marching together to support the LGBTQIA+ community and celebrate Pride WA’s 2025 theme, We Are Here. Entertainment starts rolling from 6pm, leading into the Smoking Ceremony at 7:45pm, before the parade launches at 8pm and winds through Northbridge until around 9:30pm. And it wouldn’t be a Pride event without killer kick-ons, so head to Russell Square for the free Afterparty that keeps the colourful vibes going until midnight.
Pride Street Afterparty at The Court
Tell a friend to tell a friend, The Court's Pride Afterparty is back with a bang! They've got some wicked performances lined up, including Rojdar, Bang Bang, Katy Banks and Miss Cara, as well as a monarchy of drag queens with Fay Rocious, Cougar Morrison and Donna Kebab ready to put on an absolute showstopper. Of course, it wouldn't be The Court without a silent disco, glitter bar, karaoke and costume competitions, and they're adding in some food trucks so you can stay fuelled to party all night. James Street will be shut down yet again to spread the chaotic queer festivities out of the building and down the street, because a good Pride party simply will not be contained to the club. Sorry to anyone whose commute just got ruined, but maybe this is a sign to glitter up and join the party?
Sito Shades ‘Late Checkout’ Launch Event at Bennies By The Beach
Embrace the WA culture of slow mornings and beach magic with Sito Shades, the hand-crafted Aussie eyewear brand that blends style, affordability and sustainability for sunnies that elevate any summer look from drab to fab. This Saturday, they're inviting you to linger a little longer at Bennies by the Beach in Trigg for a leisurely morning that celebrates the launch of their new 'Late Checkout' collection, taking you out of your everyday madness for a chilled few hours of sun, shopping, and exclusive Berrylicious Acai bowls. They're open 7am to 9am and they've got free swag bags for the first 50 customers (plus the chance to win 1 of 10 pairs of Late Checkout frames), so don't be too chilled and miss out!
Electric Symphony with Perth Symphony Orchestra & Gisella Colletti at QV1
There's live music, and then there's the Perth Symphony Orchestra performing their Electric Symphony. The architectural jewel that is Perth's QV1 Plaza will host this musical phenomenon, fusing classical and contemporary sounds to make you feel like you're in a melodic dreamscape. And in the most exciting news, Perth's homegrown Australian Idol performer Gisella Colletti will be showcasing her stunning vocals in the opening act of the night. The Electric Symphony will also feature a run of other superstar musicians across the three acts, kicking off at sunset with the Sparkling Symphony offering retro anthems and sing along faves, before moving into the After Dark Spectacle with electric string quartet INNEKA and cabaret enchantment from Dean Misdale, and sending it home with Act Three's Fred Again…with Strings Attached. Naturally, there will also be plenty of pop up bars and delicious food options, so act fast and grab your tickets before they're gone!
Beer Degustation at Beerfarm
Raise your glass to the State Buildings' Beer Corner, because they've organised an expertly crafted degustation lunch menu that pairs with the frothiest local brews for everyone to enjoy this Saturday. From 1pm to 3:30pm for $110 per person, you'll be guided by Ben, the esteemed Head Brewer of the Beerfarm, in a dining experience that could turn even the biggest beer-cynic. You'll begin with summer ale and beef and cornbread bites, before moving into an entrée, main and dessert as you sip your IPAs and learn about the delicious craft of brewing. Cheers to that!
Yacht Rock with Oats Supply at Hotel Rottnest
What's better than a spritzy Rotto sunset surrounded by some smiley quokka friends, you ask? When it's accompanied by Hotel Rottnest's Yacht Rock music series, of course. This Saturday, everyone's invited to round up their crew and sail the seas to our beloved local island escape, where the feel-good sounds of Oats Supply will be taking over Hotel Rottnest for a beachfront party that's welcoming summer in right. It's free entry, the bevs are flowing, and the Rottnest Express is running a 9pm late-night ferry on weekends to drop you home, so there's no excuse to miss this one.

What's On Sunday 30 November:
Drag Sunset at Hilton Waterfront
Save your teary goodbyes to Pridefest 2025 for later, because Elizabeth Quay’s Hilton Waterfront is hosting one last celebration to send it off with the rainbow flair it deserves. The Drag Sunset will see a range of divalicious drag performances backdropped by the stunning Swan River skyline from 4pm to 7pm, with tickets available from $50 and including one free alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink and canapes. Celebrate, reflect, and soak up the good energy that seems to be overflowing at every Pridefest event.
FOMO Festive Fair at FOMO Freo
If there's one thing Perth does well in summer, it's open air markets with a healthy dose of sunshine. This Sunday, you've got another one to add to the agenda because Freo's FOMO Festive Fair is returning from 11am to 4pm, and they're covering all the bases for yummy bites and fabulous gifting (this includes self-gifting, because you deserve a treat too!). Think design goods, artwork, vintage bits, and handmade wares; basically, your Chrissy shopping is sorted in one fell swoop. And for even more fun, you can get hands on with artisan creative workshops led by some of WA's best creatives, from ceramics painting to jewellery making to scent & sip perfumes.
Motown at The Leederville Precinct
Did someone say sundowner street party? From 4pm to 9pm this Sunday night, we're getting dolled up in our Sunday best (party-style, not church) to celebrate Movember with a stacked line-up of fab local acts, headlined by the legendary Funk Club. The Leederville Precinct's Electric Lane is closing down for this free-entry event that'll serve superb vibes and limited-edition drinks (hello, mo-jitos and espresso mo-tinis), with $1 from each purchase going directly into the charity fund. You do need to RSVP online, and there's an optional donation link if you want to give back to the Vincent Community Shed, a local institution supporting the community.
The Pride Golf Cup at Embleton Social Golf Club
Golf might not be known for its exhilarating moments, but WA's Pride Golf Cup is bringing all the fabulous fun and competitive banter to the Embleton Social Golf Club this Sunday at 1:30pm for $40pp. Teams of two will compete over 9 holes of golf with prizes up for grabs and Pride-themed decorations setting up the positive energy. If you're lacking in golfing prowess (it's okay, we're good at other things!) you can head down for a social drink at the After Party from 4pm for light refreshments.
All Weekend:
Pride Fest
Pridefest WA is Perth’s annual ten-day celebration of LGBTQIA+ pride, connection and community, running 21–30 November. The calendar has been absolutely jam-packed with street events, exhibitions, family-friendly gatherings, performances, drag shows, and pop-up parties all across the metro area, but there’s still a couple more days to go if you haven’t had the chance to check out the festivities.
On Thursday 27 November, there’s Pridefest Live at the Ice Cream Factory, where Benjamin Plant’s Miami Horror band is rocking on with their synth-pop indie-electronic beats alongside special guest DJ and Producer, Tseba. Emerald City Kickball Perth is hosting Bearaoke/ Kickaoke on Friday 28 November for a night of campy sing-alongs with The Bears and The Kickballers. And of course, the big moment we’ve all been waiting for is the Pride Parade on Saturday 29 November, sprawling throughout Northbridge for a night of colourful floats, glittery outfits, and infectious joy that’s sure to hit the entire CBD. There’s a free afterparty (obviously) in Russell Square, or our iconic queer club The Court is taking over James Street to host their own kick ons.
The Osborne Park Show at Robinson Reserve
Bigger, better, and more iconic than ever, The Osborne Park Show is celebrating 110 years of food, fun, and fireworks the whole family can enjoy together. Opening night is Friday 28 November at 5pm, and includes live music from The Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, the beautiful voices from Echoes of Ukraine, and the electric Balga Senior High strings section. Saturday 29 November will see the Ninja Academy Climbing Wall and Ricochet Circus Workshops on offer from 4pm, as well as pop up bars and a Midnight Car Club car show to gawk at. Both days will include family favourites like Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm, Birds of Prey and Critters Up Close, and a banging fireworks display at 9pm to end the party. Tickets are available online, or you can get them at the gate (but FYI, online is cheaper).
