As much as we all secretly love Colonel Sanders, the Koreans are bringing the real KFC and we can’t get enough. Juicy, zingy, and packing an audible crunch with each bite, Korean fried chicken is a finger-licking good time, and there’s no shortage in our fine city.

Out with the diets, in with the dipping sauces. Here are 7 places to get Perth’s best Korean fried chicken.

7 Grams

North Perth

7 Grams dishes out some of Perth’s best Korean Fried Chicken, plus it comes with a very substantial serving of perfectly pickled veg. And let’s be honest, you can't have one without the other. Don’t let the confused facade and eclectic decor scare you, this place is for real.

Chimek

Northbridge, Southern River and Victoria Park

Dishin’ out some of the crunchiest fried chicken going around, Chimek was such a hit at the Freo Markets that they now have restaurants in Northbridge, Vic Park and Southern River—which means more chicken for us. Not strictly Korean, but definitely infusing some American, Korean and even Mexican flavours, try their Gochujang (original KFC) or the honey soy sesame.

Arirang Korean Barbecue

Perth

Go for the tabletop Korean Barbecue, but stay for the delicious Korean fried chicken. Arirang's menu is always pretty mouth-watering, but you can’t go past a serve of their KFC—it comes in original, honey soy, or spicy honey flavour, and you get 10 juicy pieces.

NeNe Chicken

Northbridge, East Vic Park, Carousel, Willetton and Cockburn Central

Craving crunchy fried chicken in your choice of original, snowing cheese, spicy, bulgogi, freakin’ hot or garlic flavours? Head on down to any of NeNe Chicken's locations and you'll find what you're looking for.

Gami Chicken & Beer

Perth and Hillarys

Tucked into Shafto Lane in Perth and at Whitford City, Gami Chicken & Beer is dishing out delicious Korean Fried Chicken in four distinct flavours—original, sweet chilli, spicy and garlic and honey. If you can’t decide on just one, they’ll let you mix and match flavours.

Restaurant Gangnam

Karawara and Carousel

Coming at you hot in either original flavour or sweet and spicy is Gangnam's Korean Fried Chicken, perfectly crunchy, juicy and delicious. You might be asking for a few extra serves of the dipping sauce is all we can say.

Tong 86

Perth

Tong 86 get extra points for serving their KFC wings with a side of hot chips. Choose from a bunch of sauces including garlic soy and sweet chilli, and ask for extra coleslaw.
