If your idea of a quick IKEA trip involves emerging three hours later with six bowls you didn’t need, a renewed commitment to organising your pantry and absolutely no idea where you parked, listen up. Joondalup is about to score its own slice of the Swedish homewares action—and this time, you won’t need to spend a whole arvo wondering whether you’re following the arrows or accidentally doing the entire showroom backwards.

Opening on Thursday 19 November 2026, IKEA’s new Joondalup Plan and Order Point and Collection Point is bringing home-planning help and a handy order collection spot to Perth’s northern suburbs.

Before you start mentally ordering your meatballs, there’s an important distinction: this isn’t another full-sized IKEA warehouse. Think less epic expedition through fifty imaginary living rooms, more sorting out that dream kitchen without making a day of it. The announcement is all about planning and collection, rather than a new restaurant.

But speaking of meatballs, Perth apparently has some serious credentials. According to IKEA, its Innaloo store sold more packets of meatballs last financial year than any other store in the Ingka franchise family worldwide. Not Australia. Worldwide. Finally, international recognition for our commitment to a well-stocked freezer.

Back in Joondalup, the new 230-square-metre space will feature 11 room settings, plus dedicated IKEA specialists ready to help you plan kitchens, wardrobes, laundries and storage. If your current organisational system is “shove it in and hold the door closed”, consider this your invitation.

You’ll be able to book personalised one-on-one planning sessions and order the entire IKEA range on site, with services including delivery, assembly and installation available. There’ll also be a collection point for orders, including the full Market Hall range of everyday home items and compact furniture under 120cm.

It follows IKEA’s existing Cannington planning and collection location, giving northern-suburbs locals another option beyond the trek to Innaloo when a kitchen reno or wardrobe overhaul comes calling.

Less time on the road, more time debating cupboard fronts. We can’t promise you won’t spend an entire afternoon choosing them—but at least you won’t be trying to find the exit.
