It’s hard to believe, but October is nearly upon us and you know what that means—Oktoberfest celebrations.

The Perth Oktoberfest mainstays are back this year, but we’ve also got a new party hall getting in on the celebrations and, the best part is, each event is happening on a different weekend in October, so true Oktoberfest fans can make their way to all three parties.

Here’s where to celebrate Oktoberfest in Perth this year.

Oktober Haus At The Rechabite

Saturday 24 October, Northbridge

New kid on the Oktoberfest block, The Rechabite is throwing their first ever Oktober Haus and to say we’re excited is an understatement. The party will be happening on all four levels of The Rechabite and it’s not just for the hop heads.

But, beer first. The Rechabite will be playing host to eight amazing breweries—Beerfarm, Blasta Brewing, Hopsquad Brewing Co, Heroes and Villains, Kona Brewing Co, Moon Dog Brewery, Nail Brewing and Rocky Ridge Brewing Co—and your ticket includes beer tastings at any four that you choose as well as access to limited release beers.

If you’re not into beer, get on the rieslings, bubbles (or any wine that your heart so desires) or take it to the rooftop for Schnapps cocktails and tasting flights.

Double Rainbow will be dishing up German-inspired delights to keep you going all day long, and you’ll need that sustenance to get you through to the Berghain Basement after-party at Goodwill Club. Get your tickets here.

Oktoberfest In The Gardens

Saturday 10 October, Perth

If you’re into Oktoberfest, chances are you’ve partied at Oktoberfest in the Gardens once or twice before. One of the bigger froth festivals Perth is home to, this one might be welcoming a slightly smaller crowd this year as they adhere to COVID restrictions, but that just means more beer for you. With two big top beer halls, German eats, silent discos, sideshow alleys, wood chopping demonstrations and dodgeball arenas, you’ll be a busy bee trying to tick everything off the list at this one.

Elmar’s In The Valley

Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October, Swan Valley

It should come as no surprise that Elmar’s In The Valley is throwing their famous Oktoberfest party; they’ve been doing it for 19 years after all. Make your way to the Swan Valley on Saturday 17 October for the adults-only event (Sunday 18 October is family day at Elmar’s, just in case that’s more your vibe) for loads of beer, German BBQ, live tunes and plenty of games. For the first time ever they’re also introducing a cocktail bar, just in case you want to move on from beer at any point in the day.

Once you've booked your tickets to any (or all) of those, check out more awesome things to do in Perth.
