Summer is edging closer friends, and Freo’s summer calendar just scored a serious glow-up with a huge new open-air music series landing by the sea in 2027.

Palace Foreshore—the team behind Melbourne’s buzzing St Kilda live music precinct—is heading west for the first time, taking over Esplanade Park with four headline shows across two massive weekends in February and March.

First up is global dance legend Fatboy Slim, who’ll hit the Fremantle stage on Wednesday 3 March 2027. Expect more than three decades of wall-to-wall anthems, from “Praise You” and “Right Here Right Now” to “Weapon Of Choice” and “The Rockafeller Skank”, all delivered in one very big open-air party.

The Fremantle show forms part of Fatboy Slim’s Australian tour of unconventional venues, with the artist saying he wanted to “get up close with my people, play venues with real atmosphere and have a proper party”. And honestly, Esplanade Park feels made for it right?

Three more major Palace Foreshore headliners are set to be revealed throughout September, so watch this space. Tickets to Fatboy Slim are on sale now via Ticketek, with general admission priced at $149.90 plus booking fees. The event is strictly 18+.
