The Best Spots To Get Santa Photos In Perth For 2025

Festive spirits are high, bank balances are low, and Michael Bublé is blasting through every supermarket in Perth/Boorloo. It can only mean one thing: Santa photos are comin’ to town. 

Here at Urban List, we love a Christmas tradition, and getting snapped with Santa is no exception. While Santa will be making an appearance at most shopping centres around town in the lead up to Christmas, there’re a few that go above and beyond to make sure you get the perfect picture. To help you out, we’ve made a list (and checked it twice) of the very best places in Perth to get Santa photos this Christmas. 

The Claremont Hotel

Christmas hits different at The Claremont Hotel this year, with the great man himself swinging by on his festive route. Santa’s visiting schedule includes a few different dates throughout December, plus  a Christmas Eve special featuring crafts and carols (and a final chance to meet the jolly man in red). Throw on a lush little lunch and cocktails up on the rooftop deck and cheers to the fact you have now nailed Christmas.

Hoodville

Santa has set up shop in Subi at Hoodville, the pet-friendly pop-up taking bookings right up until Christmas. There’s no long wait times and shopping centre stresses at this winter wonderland. Instead, explore the curated sets complete with snow-covered trees, twinkling fairy lights and plush furnishings. Offering a little bit of calm between the chaos of Christmas, you can choose between a small group 10-minute session including 10 images, or a bigger group 20-minute session including 20 images, all emailed straight to your inbox within 48-hours.

Claremont Quarter

Christmas is all about giving back, and Claremont Quarter is doing just that with their Santa photos this year. In the lead up to Christmas, you’ll be able to get a professional photo with Santa in exchange for a $25 donation to the Giving Box Appeal, supporting Foodbank to provide food and groceries to those in need. It’s a little festive fanfare to get you into the Chrissy spirit. Find Santa on his grand red velvet chair on Level 2 between Country Road and Peter Jackson.

Karrinyup Shopping Centre

Not everyone can get around the bright lights and constant chatter of big shopping centres, but that doesn't mean they should miss out on a snap with Santa. In partnership with Autism Association WA, Karrinyup's Sensitive Santa sessions feature lower lighting and background music for little ones (or big ones) with sensory needs. Karrinyup Shopping Centre is also offering pet photography, Auslan options, and mini hot air balloons for an extra sprinkle of Christmas magic.

With a magic sleigh and a team of the bravest, most dedicated reindeer, Santa is able to reach everyone who wants a moment with him, and this includes the well-behaved frequenters of Cockburn Gateway Shopping Centre. The festive set up includes a classic Santa pic to capture the joy, after-hours pet photos for the furry family members, and Sensitive Santa sessions for those who need a more relaxed time with the big guy.

Myer Santaland

All aboard the Santaland Express! Follow the elves at Santaland to the magical (albeit stationary) train, taking passengers to Myer’s North Pole. This one is truly for the kids. They can pull up a pew at the colouring station, play with Lego, post a letter to Santa, watch a festive flick, and, of course, befriend the elves and get a photo with the great man himself. Entry into Santaland is free, with printed and digital photo packages starting at $29.95.

Perth Zoo

There’s no reindeer at Perth Zoo, but you will find Santa and his squad ready and waiting to get papped. Arrive at Bulkit Station opposite the Elephant Amphitheatre to meet Santa, post a letter to the North Pole and get endless pictures. Sessions are $20 each and last for five minutes, with the elves on hand to take as many photos as you like with your own camera or phone.

Get your Chrissy shopping and Santa photos done in one go at Westfield Shopping Centres across WA, because Saint Nick and his helpers are hitting them all. In addition to Westfield’s usual family and friends photographer sessions, you can book for a Sensitive Santa session to ensure a calm, comfortable and quiet session tailored to children with sensory challenges; Auslan Santa, fluent in Auslan for those who use the sign language as their primary form of communication; and Pet Photography Sessions with Santa, ensuring four-legged friends are included in the festive fun.

Swapping his famous red suit for something a little more glam and glitzy, catch Gold Santa at The Perth Mint every Friday and Saturday in December. He’ll be roaming around the grounds dripping in gold, with a professional snapper in tow to capture digital photos free of charge.

Have a merry moment in Belmont Forum this Chrissy, because the elves are on their way and they're bringing a friend. Santa's pencilled in some time in his schedule for photos with you, your pet, and your kids, with a shiny new Santa Set that's had a major glow up since last year. There will also be a festive Selfie Station available for casual pics so you can capture the holly jolly vibes without needing to book (and you can make sure you get your good side).

Bonus: Miracle at La Vie

Technically, there's no oversized velvet chair or elves with a degree in photography, but the Christmas set up in the La Vie Champagne Lounge at Crown Metropol is so adorable, we had to include it. Festive pop-up bar, Miracle, has taken over La Vie in an explosion of tinsel and candy cane colouring, providing heaps of DIY photo ops to capture the Christmas spirit without battling through shopping centre chaos and queues of amped-up kids. The classy venue has been transformed into the perfect seasonal catch up spot, with their merry menu of cocktails and glitzy holiday décor luring even the Scroogiest inside.

Bonus: S&R Orchard

This isn't your traditional Santa photo setup with a professional photographer, but we had to include the magical winter wonderland that is S&R Orchard. Throughout December, you’ll find colossal Christmas-themed photo props set up amongst the fruit trees, plus heaps of other family-friendly fun like tractor rides, fruit picking (and tasting), shady picnic spots, and cuddly farm animals. Polish the lens of your iPhone and snap away, you might even catch the big man himself if you're lucky.
