There’s no escaping it, last year’s craziness has been tough on our beloved hospo industry. And while plenty of places are thriving again, we’ve seen COVID take its fair share of casualties. So we were pretty stoked to hear about a brand new pop-up event promising to breathe new life into unused locations and spread good vibes and brews to ‘burbs in need of a pick me up.
Brought to you by Triple-1-Three (the team behind Freo.Social and Otherside Brewing Co.) and Crafted Events, Welcome to the Otherside has taken over a unique, vacant site along Hay Street in Subiaco, just behind the pink Corner Gallery (you know the one). And while originally it was only sticking around for a few weeks over summer, the chill pop-up beer garden has been so popular they've decided to bring it back for an extended run.
Expect a festival-like hub complete with loads of outdoor seating, lush plants, live music, DJs, food trucks, and a 20-tap container bar pouring award-winning Otherside Brewing beers alongside Vasse Felix wines, ciders, WA spirits and a few special concoctions.
Welcome to the Otherside Subiaco will reopen at 263 and ¾ (just go with it) Hay Street, Subiaco from Thursday to Sunday from the 11th of March. So chuck it in your calendar and stay tuned to find out what other surprises they’ve got up their sleeves.
