9 Of The Coolest Clubs In Singapore For A Big Night Out

By Gracie Stewart

A DJ at one of the best clubs in Singapore

Whether you’re a lover of deep house, hip hop or live sets from some of the world’s biggest DJs, Singapore is bursting with next-level clubs featuring everything from flaming cocktails to Ferris wheels (yes, you read that right). And luckily for you, here at Urban List we have partied our way around the country to find the best clubs in Singapore—no sticky floors, cheesy tunes or lacklustre atmospheres in sight.

So put your dancing shoes on and get ready to cut some shapes at one of these clubs in Singapore.

Marquee Singapore

While we wouldn’t usually expect a nightclub to be located within a shopping centre, when said centre is Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands we’ll absolutely make an exception. This epic super club is the sister venue of Marquee Sydney and it’s been given a serious upgrade. Boasting a huge dance floor, private tables and a slew of bars, the centrepiece has to be the indoor Ferris wheel. And even better, you can take your crew on the ride and document your night out with the photo booth in the carriages (and make all of your mates jealous).

After something a little more thrilling? Jump on the slide and scale three floors of the epic building—we suggest you leave the cocktail with a friend for this one. Perfect for celeb-spotting, Marquee also boasts a roster of A-list performances in the past including the likes of Steve Aoki, Tiesto and Nicky Romero to name a few.

Cherry Discotheque

133 Cecil Street

Step inside this underground club and you’ll discover it’s primed for a good time. Drenched in neon, this hip-hop slappin’ arcade-style 'dance paradise' is adorned with plush velvet couches and boasts a black and white checked floor that’s guaranteed to lure even the most uncoordinated dancers to their feet.

On most nights, women enter for free—a win for the ladies—otherwise you’ll be stung with a $30 cover charge (although it’s well worth it in our opinion). If you’re feelin’ really baller, order up a bottle of $888 Cristal and heck, why not spray it over everyone, just because you can?!

Ce La Vi

Located 57 floors atop Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands, Ce La Vi is dubbed the quintessential day-to-night destination in Singapore.

A must-visit for anyone—especially first-timers—here, you can kick back and soak up the second-to-none panoramic view with a cocktail in hand and then party on the dancefloor into the wee hours, cutting shapes to a smorgasbord of local and international DJs from 10pm.

Zouk

3C River Valley Road, 01-05 to 02-06

Located within Clarke Quay’s Cannery Block and spanning across two floors, Zouk has become one of the city’s most-loved super clubs and for good reason, a night here will not be easily forgotten.

A trailblazer in the club scene for being one of the first to champion house music, at Zouk you’ll find a line-up of crazy good DJs. Previous superstars who have taken to the decks here include Carl Cox, Armin van Buuren, Avicii and the Chemical Brothers—yep these guys know how to throw an excellent party. First opening its doors back in 1991 (it was once housed in an old warehouse) this hot spot has been loved by generations of Singaporean clubbers, so you know it’s absolutely worth adding to your hit list.

Avenue

Hidden deep within Marina Bay Sands, you’ll uncover one of Singapore’s latest dapper deep house and hip-hop clubs, Avenue.

Levelling up the nightclub experience, Avenue serves up an unforgettable night with a slew of entertainment for you and your crew (if dancing ain't your thing). We're talking a baller mini bowling alley, karaoke room, pool table and arcade games—so you’re guaranteed to lose track of the time here. Adorned with brass furnishings, parquetry flooring, plush leather chesterfields and marble, expect late-night vibes and incredible cocktails to boot.

Headquarters

66 Boat Quay

Forget the glitz of the others on the list, this stripped-back, underground spot is all about pumping out top-notch tunes minus the fuss.

Created by a DJ and a restaurant owner, it’s no wonder Headquarters has become known for its epic music line-up, including a rotating roster of local talent and international imports. Grab a drink from the bar tucked away in the corner and bliss out with your crew to the very best techno, house and disco every Wednesday through Saturday. It’s time to get sweaty at one of the best clubs in Singapore.

Drip Singapore

Having only opened its doors in July 2022, Drip is still a relatively new player in the Singapore club scene. Located in the basement of Concorde Hotel, Drip is Singapore’s largest underground club, spanning two floors with a concept inspired by alternative clubs in Berlin.

The Drip Main Room (first floor) is dedicated to EDM, with a constant rotation of DJs on the decks. Downstairs you’ll find the Salt Room, where the vibe is more experimental and hip-hop beats take centre stage. While there are bars on both floors, the one at Salt Room has a much more curated cocktail menu should you be craving a dirty martini.

Yang Club

3A River Valley Road, #01-02 Clarke Quay

A dull night out at Yang Club is deemed near impossible with its rotating DJ headliners and VIP experiences.

Located at the iconic heritage mansion The Riverhouse, you can rave until dawn with Yang Club's slapping cutting-edge speakers, confetti guns, neon hues and energetic strobe lights. But take note, women need to be 18 to enter whereas men need to be 21—plus, be sure to leave your slides, singlets and shorts at home because as the club proclaims “don’t come out to play if you aren’t dressed to slay”. You’ve been told.

Lady Wu

11 North Canal Road, Attic Level, The Offshore Building

Although Lady Wu is technically more of a lively alfresco attic bar than a night club, we think it deserves a special mention thanks to its packed weekly schedule of live music, performed in both English and Mandarin.

Located in the heart of Boat Quay, the bar is named after Empress Wu Zetian, who ruled China during the Tang Dynasty. The focus here is on contemporary craft cocktails, with regular drinks promotions and a tempting menu of creative Chinese bar bites making this a popular choice among the after-work crowd.
