White Picket Fence
In the heart of Caloundra, White Picket Fence is one of the newest cafes to hit the Sunshine Coast. After its transformation from nursery to cute eatery, they opened their doors at the end of last year and became an instant crowd favourite. Feast on The House Deposit; a dish of organic sourdough on a bed of beetroot hummus and topped with avocado, Persian feta, edamame, lemon and pomegranate, or grab a friend, take a seat in the sunlit patio and indulge in The Hungry Little Platterpillar, a selection of their best breakfast creations for two. Every angle of this place is photogenic, so don’t forget to take a shot for Instagram before you leave.
One Block Back
Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of Moffat Beach, One Block Back serves up breakfast goodness in an industrial shed with plenty of character. The all-day breakfast menu has a mix of healthy staples and treat yourself options which you can enjoy while relaxing in the garden or sitting at the 100-year-old brick pillars. From Nannas Waffles to the extravagant Breakfast Board, featuring a mini original acai bowl, smashed avocado on toast with feta and a mini fresh croissant with cultured butter. Add this to your hit list, if you’re on the hunt for the best breakfasts in Caloundra.
Kings Beach Bar
Looking for a relaxed vibe and an ocean breeze? Kings Beach Bar offers a killer breakfast menu you can enjoy while dining beachfront. There’s Poached Peaches, Mushroom and Halloumi Bruschetta and a couple of breakfast burgers. But our top pick for one of the best breakfasts in Caloundra is The Farmhouse Breakfast—a dish loaded with free range eggs, home-style thick-cut bacon, roasted tomatoes and mushrooms, thick-cut pork sausage, halloumi and housemade hash on pumpkin sourdough.
Coco Loco Club
Since opening their doors in 2015, Coco Loco has held the title for the funkiest spot to grab a morning quick fix in Moffat Beach. The bright, artsy and inviting decor compliments the flavoursome menu of poke bowls, juices, smoothies, sweet treats and out-of-this-world açai bowls. With the cooler months approaching, you’ll also be able to grab yourself a heart-warming soup, like the Spicy Thai Pumpkin soup served with crusty bread.
If you prefer a menu built on organic and locally-sourced ingredients wherever possible, or you’re up for something different, go no further than Greenhouse Cafe. Paving the way for sustainable cafes, they offer an inventive vegetarian breakfast menu ready to encourage a healthier lifestyle. The clever dishes include the Greenhouse Nachos, a mix of mild spicy beans, avocado, herbed tomato and cucumber salsa, herbed coconut yoghurt served with corn chips, and the Can’t “Beet” Eggs with homemade beetroot pesto, herbed feta, two poached eggs on lightly toasted organic Turkish loaf. Now that’s some guilt-free dining and one of the healthiest breakfasts in Caloundra.
Beau's is the definition of cool. From the menu, to the music, to the super friendly staff, everything is done to perfection, including the top notch coffee. Sink your teeth into their eggs benedict with a twist; poached eggs, sautéed kale, choice of salmon, bacon or mushrooms and tomatoes, served on a potato pave and topped with a smoked paprika hollandaise. If you’re after something on the sweeter side, give the granola bowl with the chamomile panna cottage a try, guaranteed to make your mouth water.
