Cafe Le Monde

NOOSA HEADS

So, you’ve got the whole family visiting and you’re looking for somewhere to dine that’s not too pricey in Noosa? Your best bet for a casual day out, one that’s still going to leave you a bit of cash to shout mum that cocktail she’s eyeing off, is Cafe Le Monde. These guys are offering a delicious three-course set menu (that features a local seafood platter, plus Bundaberg Rum and macadamia honey smoked ham) with a glass of sparkling or Stone & Wood beer, for a bargain $110 per person. Which is kind of unheard of, but very convenient, if you’re looking to book a spot for Christmas Day lunch on the Sunshine Coast. Got littlies? The two-course set menu for kids at $49 is a no-brainer.

Noosa Boathouse

How many times have you had Christmas lunch at a floating restaurant? (NB: Lilos in the pool with cup holders after a few Xmas morning beverages do not classify as floating restaurants.) Let Noosa Boathouse bring the ‘fancy’ to your festivities this year with a waterfront location and a four-course Christmas lunch, complete with a two-hour premium drinks packages including prosecco, red and white wine, beer and soft drinks or juice. With a sample menu featuring the likes of charcuterie to start, followed by Mooloolaba prawns, Moroccan-flavoured local fish and a special housemade Christmas pudding, we’re getting full just thinking about it.

The Savvy Squire

One of the best bars in Mooloolaba, The Savvy Squire is dishing up the brews and chews this Christmas Day lunch on the Sunshine Coast. Graze on fresh seafood or a charcuterie board and then devour turkey and ham or crispy barramundi to your heart’s content. There are also plenty of vego options available.

The Dock

MOOLOOLABA

One of our favourite spots to wine and dine in Mooloolaba is throwing open its doors this Christmas Day and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Offering three delectable courses, you’ll be stuffing your face silly with a chilled seafood platter, maple glazed turkey with pumpkin puree, potato fondant, grilled broccolini and cranberry jus, plus a mango parfait with macadamia crumble, strawberry sorbet and meringue shards. With sittings available at 11.30am and 12.30pm, and tables filling up fast, you better jump in quickly if you want to secure a riverside posi at The Dock this year.

Flaxton Gardens

If a buffet is more your style, Flaxton Gardens are putting on a giant feast for your Christmas Day lunch on the Sunshine Coast. Catering for more dietary requirements, including options for vegans, you’ll find your festive roast meats (turkey, beef and Tasmanian salmon) plus a delicious range of sides and salads. To kick off the fun, you’ll be given a pre-celebration drink and canapes, and end the day with barista-made coffee and chocolate-dipped strawberries.
