Holy shmokes, this weekend is loaded with all things good and summery.
Whether you’re looking to kick it off with a feel-good event, down some frothy brews, or bust out to some seriously awesome live tunes—we’ve got a pretty decent list for you guys to pick from.
Here are 5 epic things to do this weekend on the Sunshine Coast!
A Gig For Good Harvest | Saturday, December 10
There’s nothing like a good deed to start your weekend off right. And A Gig For Good Harvest sounds like a great one. You might’ve heard about this little Marcoola shop being lost to a fire last month, so The Porch Project have stepped in to host a cruisy family-friendly shindig to help the Good Harvest folk out. There’ll be live music from 3pm to 11pm, food, drinks, and market stalls, and it’s all at your fingertips for a $15 donation. And because this is pretty much one of the best community events we’ve heard of in a long time, they’re even inviting everybody to bring their swimmers so you can jump in the lake. If that isn’t enough, it’s also BYO tent in case you feel like camping.
Moto Roll In | Saturday, December 10
We’re loving everything Moto are putting down, and now they’re ramping it up even further with their first ever Moto Roll In from 1pm to 5pm. Basically, you take your bike (custom or classic) along to Moto and enjoy a good ol’ chinwag with local motorbike builders, designers, and board shapers. If you’re a two-wheeling enthusiast then the BBQ, local beers, and DJ pumping out the tunes are just the icing on the cake.
Your Mates Larry Launch | December 10 and 11
Some of our fave local beer dudes, Your Mates are launching their flagship beer-child, Larry into the world this weekend and there’s a whole lotta buzz about it! What does this mean for you beer-guzzling folk? From tomorrow, this thirst-quenching pale ale will be available at some of our fave Sunny Coast bars and restaurants, from Caloundra to Nambour to Noosa. For a full list of where to get your first taste of this fine, fine brew, check the details here!
The Jungle | December 10 and 11
Okay, so you’ve probs heard by now, but The Jungle AKA The Pocket’s newest venture is now open in Moffat Beach. Can we get “whoop whoop!”? This cafe slash bar is serving takeaway coffee from 5.30am, then, come 2.30pm, the good times will really start to roll with the bar kicking off service—hello cocktail jugs—and a drool-worthy snack menu firing up. This weekend is the first of The Jungle’s bright life, so get to Moffs and show ‘em some love!
