One of the family-friendly cabins on this list, Donnington Ridge is an off-grid spot tucked away in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland that is just 12 minutes from Maleny, so you’ll have the best of both worlds.
With a queen bed and a king single bunk bed inside the stylish, minimalist accommodation, you can spend your days enjoying the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills (preferably from the outdoor tub on the verandah), sitting by the firepit, taking a dip in the nearby creek or playing the giant outdoor games supplied.

Your own tiny home with a private pool just 20 minutes out of Maleny? Sign us up! This pint-sized pad, located in the hills of the Sunshine Coast hinterland, has a delightfully round plunge pool where you can cool off while enjoying sweeping views of rolling green paddocks.
It’s worth packing those hiking boots as you’ve got Mapleton National Park on your doorstep here, but if a leisurely meal is more likely to put a smile on your dial, you’re close to the popular Mapleton Pub too. Back at base, you can cuddle up around the indoor fireplace, or head outside where there’s a fire pit just calling out for some post-dinner s’mores.

Montville is synonymous with peace and quiet and this 1920s Queenslander on the outskirts of town is no different. Your accommodation is a short drive from Maleny and has three bedrooms so you can have up to six guests all soaking up the sights and sounds of the hinterland.
