You might have been dreaming of Santorini, Paris, Puglia, and Berlin—but when it comes down to it, Sydney is a pretty epic place to live.

We might be biased here, but we’ll take one of the most stunning harbours in the world, as well as unbeatable beaches, endless amazing restaurants, bars, and beautiful scenery as a sign that we’ve got it pretty good.

Here to help you rediscover just how great Sydney truly is, is a brand new voucher scheme from the NSW Government.

Announced yesterday, the Tourism Support Package has been dreamt up to boost the state’s economy in this post-2020 era. Basically, the government will be dishing out a massive 200,000 vouchers worth $100 to spend at Sydney hotels.

Kicking off in June, it’s all about city staycations—playing tourist in your home city and living large in plush hotel robes at spots like The Old Clare, the Four Seasons, the Park Hyatt, or even Crown Towers.

The package also involves a $24 million live music support package, and a $5.5 million events industry support package.

Precise details about the $100 vouchers, including how to claim yours, are scarce at the moment—but you can read more here.

For now, stop dreaming of room service and rooftop pools and plan your staycation with our hitlist of Sydney's best hotels
