Since the 'ring of steel' was torn down last year, Melburnians had been out exploring regional Victoria again in massive numbers. That's not possible right now, but once it's safe to do so, the Government wants us to get out and explore regional Victoria to its fullest courtesy of a fourth round of $200 travel vouchers
On Wednesday 11 November last year, Premier Daniel Andrews announced that the state government will offer 120,000 vouchers to Victorians worth $200 to spend in regional Victoria. The first of three rounds of vouchers were snapped up damn quick, though in total there were 70,000 unused.
That means they're up for grabs once again, and to encourage more people to support regional Victoria, the State Government will offer an additional 10,000 vouchers which brings the total to 80,000 available.
Victorians will qualify for a voucher if they spend at least $400 on places to stay, tours, and attractions in a regional area.
"Whether it's a day trip with the family or a tour along our stunning coast, we're helping more people get out and enjoy the best Victoria has to offer," Andrews said.
Dates for when the fourth round of vouchers are yet to be announced, but you can stay up to date read all the fine print here.
