Calling all snow homies, holiday heroes, music-mad and just plain festy frothers—epic destination festival, Snow Machine is next week. And. You. Don’t. Want. To. Miss. Out.
The unmissable four-day festival is heading to the alpine slopes of Queenstown from 5-7 September, boasting an insane line-up of some of Australasia’s best electronic artists.
Headliners include Angus & Julia Stone, Bag Raiders, Matt Corby, Drax Project, Peking Duk, The Rubens, Cub Sport, Ladyhawke, and Messie are set to rock the stage on the slopes of Coronet Peak and The Remarkables by day (yep, you read that right) and in the heart of Queenstown by night. Try and dream up a cooler festival... we’ll wait.
But, the line-up doesn’t stop there, no! Other top-tier acts including Middle Kids, Old Mervs, Teenage Dads, Lee Mvtthews, Sin & Brooke, Montell2099, Sachi, Poof Doof Ski Club, Danny Clayton, Shouse, Jimi The Kween, Tiana Rosie, Snakehips, The Knocks, Julian Temple, Groove City, Ivy, Atomic Blonde, Zayn Walker, and Turtle Funk are also set to perform—a mighty fine bunch of talent if you ask us. It’s really a snow brainer—who’s with us?
We caught up with Montell2099, Jimi The Kween, and Sachi ahead of Snow Machine kicking off.

The Good Life
Relationships (family, friends and people), health (both physical and mental) + mahi (doing what ya love and getting paid for it)
Fave Breakfast
In Auckland either a big breakfast or pancakes from Honey Bones in Grey Lynn is a fav of mine, coffees are gun too. If I'm feeling a lil' dusty, a pie from Richoux Patisserie in Ellerslie is GOATed. Outside of Auckland a Big Breakky from Flatwhite down in my hometown of Waihi Beach is a nostalgic one for me.
Other Go-To Eats
Parade in Ponsonby—some of the best burgers in town and all around a nice joint with good people. I'm a sucker for their chicken burgers. Also, a chicken sandwich from Fed Deli in the city center is the lunch spot for me and my mates.
Best Drinks Spot
Haven't gone out or done much clubbing since I became a fur dad this year. But my local pub, Corner Bar in Remuera, is a nice chill spot for a few bevvies with some mates; always a few games of footy on as well.

The Good Life
A good beat—I'm a dancefloor junkie.
A good wine—any day off you can find me out dining…or just wining.
A good pair of shoes—every good outfit starts from the ground up…if it starts crunchy you’re never gonna feel the full fantasy.
Fave 'Fit You've Ever Performed In
I did a “Planet Venus Barbie” show at Halloween last year with a prosthetic head and the 'fit was next level…unfortunately afterwards I found out people thought I was dressed as sexy Patrick from Sponge Bob so it didn’t quite land but it’s still probably my favourite show outfit ever!
Last Time You Cooked Something
It’s been too long since I cooked in the kitchen, but I burn up that dance floor on the weekly, baby.

The Good Life
Exercise, food + family.
Fave Breakfast
Dizengoff mushrooms on toast.
Fave Drinks Spot
Achos on Karangahape Road.
Fave Thing To Do Around Tāmaki
Daytrip to Waiheke, swimming, and vinos!
Picture yourself skiing up to a bar on the slopes, grabbing an ice-cold beer and watching your favourite music acts dropping banger after banger... keen? If you’ve been meaning to plan a trip to this alpine paradise, then there’s no better time than now. The best part is, the Snow Machine legends have already done all the hard yards planning everything for you—grab a package and you'll be sorted with accommodation, lift passes, and festival entry. Plus, Snow Machine just launched an online store where you can sort your festy 'fit, ski and snowboard lessons, and SO many epic experiences—heli-ski or skydive anyone?
