A blush pink exterior, vibrant art on the walls and an award-winning rose garden—Norwood Roses is, hands down, one of Toowoomba’s best Airbnbs. It’s perhaps one of the quirkiest cottages we’ve seen—a former corner store from 1895 has been transformed into a romantic spot that will have your fave one captivated from the moment they step through its charming wooden door.

Your adults-only home is a 25-minute toddle from the city, and there’s coffee spots and grocery shops within a 15-minute meander too. When you’re not out exploring, we expect to find you chillaxing in the tempting clawfoot bath, or sitting in the fully-fenced garden with a G&T just taking in that floral view.

There’s a fully-equipped kitchen for whipping up dinner, plus your Queen-size bed comes with 1000 thread-count sheets and uber comfy pillows for your best night’s sleep.

The added plus at this place? Your hosts will consider pets on request, but they ask that large dogs be kept outside and, while small ones under 10kg are allowed inside, they must be kept off the furniture.

Come sunset, we reckon it’s time to gather the gang at the fire pit to swap stories while waiting for those stars to shine bright. There’s a barbecue to cook up dinner at later (Aaron at The Allora Butchery specialises in locally produced HGP-free beef as well as other premium meats), plus tomorrow perhaps a cycle ride on one of the complimentary bikes beckons?

Head through the dusky pink front door at Cherry Tree Cottage and you’re in for a big surprise. This unassuming weatherboard home just minutes out of Toowoomba CBD has been beautifully styled inside, with vibrant art, light-filled spaces and the best kitchen with its statement-tiled splashback.

Your Airbnb is half a duplex, and offers a large bedroom with a Queen bed, plus it can accommodate two more peeps on the sofa bed in the wood-floored lounge room.

Our favourite spot in the whole house is the sun-drenched window seat in the bedroom, but you won't be spending much time in it—Cherry Tree Cottage is located walking distance from the heart of town, and The Baker's Duck is also dangerously close.
