Everton Park’s New Amalfi-Inspired Eatery By Ghanem Group Is Opening This Week
There’s a newcomer set to shake up Everton Plaza’s vibrant Park Lane from certified hospo royalty. Introducing Alfi Eatery & Bar: the latest endeavour from Ghanem Group Hospitality (Blackbird, Donna Chang, Iris Rooftop) for family-friendly Mediterranean dining.
The expansive restaurant and bar marks a suburban-first for Ghanem Group, who will channel their signature premium service and culinary excellence into a 800 sqm venue with an open-plan kitchen and U-shaped bar that connects to a lush 200-seat al fresco courtyard. The vibes? Very Amalfi, with light timbers, Italian stone and marble, pastel upholstery and curved ceilings. The dining room will feature a mix of high, low and communal table settings, plus dining booths fitted with rich curtains that you can draw to create your own private nook.
The seamless indoor-outdoor experience not only evokes a quintessentially Mediterranean ambience but also will make Alfi Everton Plaza’s largest food and beverage venue—perfect for group gatherings and family nights out in the newly developed district within the retail and dining precinct.

“We have always loved the idea of opening a restaurant that becomes people’s local and with Alfi, we truly believe we have achieved that,” said managing director, Nehme Ghanem. “Our intention was to bring a slice of Italy to Everton Park; to create a neighbourhood restaurant for locals to gather over a spritz and genuine soul food.”
Leading the kitchen is Palermo-born Roberto D’Anna, who will be serving as head chef following stints in some of Brisbane’s best like Tartufo in the Valley and Gambaro Seafood Restaurant. The menu will be a mix of pub classics that feel right for a suburban outpost, alongside sophisticated Italian dishes. We’re talking slow-roasted porchetta topped in rosemary jus, spicy vodka parmesan rigatoni, beef ragu napoletano, and a stellar chicken parmi.
Alfi will also offer a selection of woodfired pizzas using their signature in-house dough which is made fresh each morning and naturally slow-fermented over 36 hours. From there, it’s into the Valoriani Forte pizza oven—created by one of Tuscany’s most celebrated.

“Each dish on the menu reflects our commitment to spotlighting the incredible local produce we have here in Brisbane,” said D’Anna. “Our focus is on injecting those simple, authentic Italian flavours with fresh, seasonal, distinctly Australian ingredients, all while upholding the incredibly high standard synonymous with the Ghanem Group name.”
Alfi will fit seamlessly into Ghanem’s 13-venue portfolio, with the help of Southport-based interior design studio Space Cubed who also had a hand in Donna Chang, Blackbird, Byblos, and most recently Hotel Terminus.
“Alfi is really about capturing that unmistakable feeling of being on the Mediterranean coast where long lunches roll into sunset drinks and there’s always a reason to stay a little longer,” said associate interior designer, Jill Chilton.
