Love a good market browse? Us too, and we’re so glad that all of our favourite Brisbane markets are back in action after last year’s COVID-caused hiatus. And now, there’s a new one to add to our regular weekend programming, with South Brisbane’s Fish Lane soon to host a creators and designers market up and down the laneway.

Curated by none other than The Market Folk, the team who put on the epic markets at Gasworks and Coorparoo, the Fish Lane Markets will see the street lined with stalls slinging ceramics, art, accessories, plants, dog accessories, natural skincare and more. Stall holders are yet to be officially announced, but with The Market Folk on the job, you can bet they’ll be some of Brisbane’s grooviest makers and creators.

The first markets are set to land on Sunday 11 April from 10am–2pm, and there’ll be a second edition on Sunday 6 June. Bonus, before or after your shopping antics (or both) you can hit up one of the delicious eateries in Fish Lane or the surrounding streets—scope out our guides to South Brisbane and West End if you need some tips.

Will the markets be a regular occurrence? That’s still to be confirmed, but we’re crossing our fingers it’s a yes.
