The Made Local Market

Tick off your Nice List at Brisbane’s biggest indoor handmade and design market, jam-packed with beautifully crafted treasures guaranteed to make their Christmas. With over 120 stalls to explore, this is your chance to shop from incredible local makers, artists and small businesses with one-of-a-kind homewares, fashion, art, ceramics, jewellery and more. Disney: In Concert

Watch the Thomas Dixon Centre become the happiest place on Earth this November with Disney: In Concert by the highly acclaimed A Night at the Musicals. For two nights only, Queensland’s home of ballet will be transformed into a timeless musical theatre experience, brought to life by thirteen of Australia’s top professional musical theatre vocalists. Garage Sale Trail

Love stumbling across a bargain? Or need some extra incentive to start that spring cleaning? Then you’re in luck, because the epic Garage Sale Trail is returning this November with two massive weekends of sales across the country. With more than 13,000 garage sales last year, Australia’s biggest and best festival is pre-loved stuff kicks off with the Great Aussie Clear Out: a 31-day spring decluttering challenge so you can turn clutter into sales. No garage? No worries because there’ll be plenty of community sales you can join as well as the nation’s biggest secondhand treasure hunt for the kids. Pretty Woman: The Musical

Baby, this musical is going to treat you so nice, you’re not gonna wanna miss it. Forgive the corniness, but it is true—Pretty Woman: The Musical is coming to QPAC in October, and it is a production you definitely want to note in the calendar. Even if you’ve never seen the movie, you can’t go wrong with the musical, featuring a powerhouse combination of direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell, and an original score by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance. An iconic romantic comedy, the performance blends Hollywood, Broadway and legends of music to bring the story of Vivian and Edward to the stage. Feel Good Program

Get ready to sweat, stretch and strengthen without spending a cent because Brisbane’s favourite (and totally free) outdoor workout series is back this spring. South Bank’s Feel Good Program offers a jam-packed lineup of yoga, Pilates, Zumba, body combat, and aqua classes designed for all ages and fitness levels. There’s really no room for excuses here, with a complimentary coffee every Saturday and even the chance to win a wellness staycay if you participate. It all kicks off this Saturday 27 September, with an extended class lineup, merch, dining voucher giveaways and free coffee to celebrate. Set against the backdrop of Brisbane City Hall, this twinkling twilight market is back to transform King George Square into an eclectic hub of talented designers and artists hawking 100% locally handmade treasures. From gorgeous ceramics to stunning wall art and lovingly made jewellery, this Friday’s market also celebrates 16 years of being a beloved staple on the Brisbane calendar, so grab a bite from a food truck, soak in the live music and enjoy an evening of creativity, community and Christmas spirit.

Tokyo Takeover at BŌS

The refinery of a premium steakhouse meets the tradition of Japanese techniques for one night only this November at BŌS. Across a multi-course Japanese-inspired degustation by Head Chef Wesley Marshall, you’ll be dining on authentic Tokyo flavours like kingfish cured in sake with prawn toast, Hokkaido scallops with soy butter and wakame salad, wood-fired Wagyu sirloin with Nikka Whisky cream, and green tea and yuzu tart with caramelised strawberries. Peony season is in full bloom, which means Poco Posy’s Peony Market Day is back and brighter than ever. Meanjin Reggae Festival 2025

Soulful sounds and community spirit will be at an all-time high at Musgrave Park for the annual Meanjin Reggae Festival—a free, all-ages celebration of reggae culture. What’s better than a steaming bowl of ramen? A $1 steaming bowl of ramen. To celebrate the opening of Motto Motto Coorparoo, you can snag their signature classic tonkotsu ramen for just $1—full of rich pork broth infused with shoyu kaeshi, fresh noodles, marinated ramen egg, chashu, shallots and seaweed. Doors open at 11am with the steal of a meal available for the first 500 guests so don’t be late.
