Joining Underwood and Mt Gravatt, Redcliffe is the latest ‘burb to score an Area 51, with the space-themed indoor play centre landing on the peninsula. Similar to the brand new Mt Gravatt location, the Redcliffe the centre is for kids 12 and under only, and features Gizmo’s Odyssey—a massive maze of challenges featuring half a dozen slides, tunnels, bridges and more, plus a ninja wall to test their speed and agility on and a soft play area for toddlers. There’s a cafe on site to keep parents caffeinated, as well as private party rooms.

miniBOUNCE

1151 Creek Road, Carindale | Nicholas Street Precinct, Ipswich

If Bounce Inc. sounds good, but you’ve got a few years before your kids can join in there, miniBOUNCE can help you out. Specifically designed for children six years old and under, miniBOUNCE promotes fun, freestyle, progression and development within a safe, supervised environment. Their cafe offers good food, coffee, and free wifi for parents, but, more importantly, their Westfield Carindale location also offers a drop and shop package. And for the westsiders, miniBOUNCE Ipswich is landing in the Nicholas Street Precinct on Saturday 22 February, boasting mini trampolines, oversized airbags, ball pits and a two-stroy interactive play structure.

Area 51 Underwood

10,000 square metres of pure unadulterated fun—that's Area 51's OG Underwood location. Its unique combination of indoor play centre, sports centre and recreation centre, featuring mega slides, a rock climbing wall, high ropes course, trampolines, inflatables, a ninja course and so much more. With games like D&D available, even the least athletically prone kids can get involved. A range of classes are also offered here, including film, dance, acting, bouldering and even cooking. Speaking of cooking, Area 51 offers up a cafe, a dumpling restaurant and a dessert bar for all your foodie needs. Also, hot tip for those who are big kids at heart—they also do adults-only nights on the last Friday of every month if you're just dying to get on one of those slides.

Game Over

2175 Ipswich Road, Oxley

This mammoth new indoor entertainment centre in Oxley has it all—we’re talking a three-level indoor playground filled with slides, tunnels, obstacles and more, a pirate-themed mini golf course, an arcade, laser tag and even a full go kart track for minis (4-6), juniors (7-12) and adults (13+), all under one roof. You can opt for a session on just one activity, or combine any number of attractions with one of Game Over’s combo passes. Just note, the minimum age here is four, however on the flip side, adults are welcome on the mini golf, arcade, laser tag and go karts.

Jungle Adventure Play is the adventure centre of every kid’s dreams—and, honestly, ours too. With two locations, including a  freshly opened venue in North Lakes, they have something for every age, all the way up to us oldies. A junior playground for the under twos, an immense playground for ages two to eight, and so much more for the older kids, including a high ropes course, multiple climbing walls, and a ninja warrior course. Both locations also boast the longest electric flying foxes in the Southern Hemisphere, dubbed The Hawk, with the North Lakes zipline coming in at a whopping 165m, 45m longer than the one at Tingalpa. And for the adults? At Tingalpa you’ll find a  safari-themed golf course with its own tiki bar (don't worry North Lakes, yours is coming in 2025).

Area 51 Mt Gravatt

Westfield Mt Gravatt, Kessels Road, Mt Gravatt

We've got great news for those 2025 school holidays—Area 51, one of Brisbane's biggest indoor playgrounds, has opened a second location at Mt Gravatt. While the new location has a smaller footprint than their Underwood centre (read up on that above), it is certainly no less fun, with a huge soft play area, eight slides, a ninja wall, trampoline zone, tiny tots area and even a cafe. Designed for under 12s only, it's open from 9am-9pm daily, so you can wear them out at any time of day.

Bounce Inc.

544 Kessels Road, MacGregor | 40 Enterprise Place, Tingalpa

Trampoline getting holes? Springs getting rusty? Parents getting sick of supervising? Bounce Inc. has got you covered. This massive trampoline park in both MacGregor and Tingalpa invites kids to “unleash their free spirit” through the adrenaline and movement the park encourages. With a free-jump arena, dodgeball, the Wall—think Ninja Warrior Wall but for kids—a cliff jump, a rock climbing wall, and more, there's more than enough to fight off the school holiday zoomies. Parents can enjoy the aircon and cafe while the kiddies are supervised by Bounce’s highly trained workers—though you can definitely practice your triple flips along side them if you're so inclined.

Revolution Sports Park

3 Flinders Parade, North Lakes

If you want to really jump on the trend—see what we did there?—and take your kids somewhere fun, check out Revolution Sports Park. The massive trampoline and adventure park in North Lakes boasts non-stop trampolines, a ninja warrior zone, floor-to-ceiling climbing walls, and dunk lanes, where you can live out your pro-NBA baller fantasies. There’s a mini version for the littlies too, so don’t worry about them getting left out. Their cafe has some solid food and coffee too, so the less adventurous of us can still have fun.

Born out of a lack of snowsports training facilities in Brisbane, Urban Xtreme is Australia’s largest Ski and Adventure Park and the only place you can ski and snowboard indoors in Queensland. There’s also a play centre for the smaller kiddies and a cafe for the bored adults.
