After weathering the unexpected loss of its Cremorne HQ with just four weeks’ notice, cult-favourite Tarts Anon has made a triumphant return—this time with a new light-filled flagship on Church Street in Richmond.
Founded by pastry power duo Gareth Whitton (the Dessert Masters stud, you know the guy) and Catherine Way back in 2020, the move marks more than just a change of address. The Richmond store brings with it a bigger footprint, an open kitchen, and elevated design—but the same unwavering commitment to one thing: making damn good tarts.

On the menu are all the fan-favourite tart staples—think chocolate caramel, smoked pecan and butterscotch, lemon and tiramisu—plus four rotating specials each month. To mark the Richmond opening, they’ve dropped a limited edition pistachio Saint Honoré tart: a playful take on the French classic featuring crisp choux pastry, pistachio mousseline and caramelised pastry layers.
There’s also a refreshed drinks menu with specialty teas and rotating coffee collabs, and while tarts are still the headline act, Gareth’s already experimenting with laminated pastry—so expect croissant-tart hybrids and soft serve in the warmer months.
And the cherry on top (of the tart) is every customer who heads in during opening week will score a scratchy with guaranteed prizes—ranging from free coffee and tart slices to discounts and limited-edition merch.
Whether you’re a Richmond local, a former Cremorne regular, or just someone who appreciates a top-tier tart, consider this your sign to pop in and see what the next era of Tarts Anon is all about.
Tarts Anon Richmond is now open. You’ll find it at 10/658 Church Street, Richmond.
