It’s getting hot in here! Dominion Road is now officially home to your new foodie obsession—hot pot dining.
Welcome, Miss Hotpot the new restaurant serving up a sizzling good time. Found on the road that has it all, Dominion Road’s latest addition is not one to miss. Brought to us by Carol Wang a.k.a Miss Hotpot herself, her venture showcases a trend currently taking Asia by storm. Whisking diners away to the streets of China, you’ll discover wondrous flavours you didn’t know you needed.
So just what is a hotpot dining involve you ask? Let us break it down for you.
Step one: choose from a personal or original pot. Filled with a piping hot dipping soup, these gems will serve as the flavoursome base for the rest of your meal.
Our top pick was the sour spicy hotpot. A tangy concoction featuring flavours of pumpkin and a subtle kick that’ll drive your taste buds wild. Or, challenge yourself and kick things up a notch with the spicy hotpot. Laden with whole chilli’s this is one dip that’s sure to blow your mind.
Now for the really fun part! Choose from an extensive range of meats that will leave you spoilt for choice. We tried the scrambled eggs beef, their twist on a classic beef tartare which when dipped in the bubbling goodness resulted in an explosion of whacky and wonderful flavours. It was love at first bite.
Herbivores rejoice! Also featuring an extensive vegetable selection, you won’t miss out on a thing. From lush greens to fantastic fungi and fried tofu, after a dip in the spicy sensation, you’ll easily find yourself coming back for more.
Paired with freshly brewed Taiwanese green tea or and Chinese spirits, after a taste of the dining style you’ll find yourself making plans to come back for more.
