Perth is a city full of dog lovers and coffee addicts, so it’s no wonder that plenty of our fave cafes don’t mind if you bring your four legged friend along. We’ve found some of our favourite places who will give your pooch some love, throw in a doggy treat and maybe even make them famous on Instagram.
Here are our favourite dog-friendly cafes in Perth.
Slate Cafe might be a little further afield, but with a dog playground for your pooch, it's worth the drive. These guys often do doggy play dates for particular breeds of dog so keep an eye on their Facebook page and head out there for a paw-some day out!
The Little Concept
Serving up healthy dog treats for one dollar and some amazing food for humans too, The Little Concept welcomes dogs of all shapes and sizes to hang out the front of their alfresco area and if they’re well behaved, they’re welcome inside too! This dog-friendly cafe in Fremantle just ticks all the boxes, doesn't it!
Propeller’s generously sized outdoor area spills out onto a good patch of grass that’s perfect for hanging out with your pooch. They love dogs so much here that they even provide treats to keep them busy while you enjoy your brekky.
The rustic and spacious back verandah of Steam Haus is the perfect setting for some quality bonding time with your pup. They sell treats for your fur babies and donate all proceeds to the Greyhound Rescue organisation.
The Little Stove
This neighbourhood cafe in the heart of Bicton loves dogs almost more than they love people. With dog bowls at the ready outside and dog treats and trinkets waiting up at the counter, you’ll receive nothing but a warm welcome when you arrive with your furry friend.
The Orange Box
This kiosk is completely alfresco, and with the beach only 50 meters away, it’s the perfect pit-stop to fuel up after you’ve taken the dog for a walk. There’s plenty of space and seating, from hanging hammocks, beach chairs and an oval right out the front for your pooch to run around on while you sip your morning coffee.
The verandah of Yelo can often be seen covered with locals and their dogs, taking in the view of the ocean and the sea breeze in the afternoon. With plenty of space for your dog to hang out the front, this little cafe is a convenient pit stop when you’re out taking the pooch for a walk along the coast.
Babylon’s insta features pups of every variety soaking up the sunshine in their beautiful courtyard, which is covered in colourful wall art and shaded by beautiful trees. The team here is dishing out toasties for brekky and a good cup of coffee—what more could you need?
Serving up some of the best breakfast going around from their little shack with views of Trigg Beach, Canteen provides plenty of alfresco dining options that are dog-friendly, so that you and your pooch can enjoy brekky together.
Everyone’s favourite neighbourhood haunt in Cottesloe does healthy takeaway food (like chia pods to lunch boxes) just as well as they do comfort foods like baked bean jaffles, bacon ‘n’ egg muffins and sausage rolls. With a sunny alfresco area and a patch of lawn right next to the tables, bringing your dog with you for breakfast is most certainly encouraged at Daisies.
2 Green Fingers
This spacious neighbourhood cafe is a healthy pit stop for you and your pooch, with natural dog treats and plenty of treats for you too. With lots of space outside (and inside for well-behaved pooches), 2 Green Fingers is another reliable dog-friendly cafe in Perth to add to your list.
Furbaby is a one stop dog pampering spot. Head to this local fave with your pooch and order breakfast or lunch for you both! Serving up delish human friendly food as well as some doggy baked good's Zumbo would be proud of. While your there you can also take care of your dog's other needs such as grooming and house hold needs. Don't walk, run your dog to this puppy-topia. They will thank you later (by not eating your shoes hopefully).
Puppycinos for your pooch! For reals. This dog-friendly cafe in Perth makes their puppycinos with lactose free milk so you don’t have to worry about your little friend getting sick. Boo is the perfect place to stop in once you’ve tired your pup out with a run around the park across the road.
Rise & Grind
The crew at Rise & Grind will probably be more obsessed with your dog than you are, so take your pooch here when they deserve some extra loving and you need a good fat feed. The sweet treats here will blow your mind, just be sure to eat them before your dog can!
The Little Pantry
Nab a table outside and have breakfast with the pooch. The food here is epic and the owner will spot your dog and be out for a chat in no time. She might even bring your pup a treat if they’re lucky!
Take one look at Daphne’s Instagram account and it's pretty clear they love dogs. They even have their own hashtags #dogsofdaphne. They’ll be stoked you brought your dog down and you’ll be drinking some of Perth’s best coffee. Win-win.
Take your pup for a stroll around the lake over the road, try to keep them from scaring the turtles and then head to Excelsior Deli for a delish coffee and some yummy breakfast. There are always plenty of other hounds here so your pup can have a play #puppyplaydates
Little Shop Of Plenty
Little Shop Of Plenty is dishing out all of the healthy treats, for you and your pooch. Choc full of vegetarian superfoods, there are always plenty of pups around looking for a pat so take yours down and share the love.
HangOut On 20 Preston
How many places can you take your pup when you’re after a glass of vino? Not all that many, but if you head to HangOut on 20 Preston your four legged friend is welcome! Huzzah! So whether you’re looking for breakfast or some night-time nibbles, this is your place.
The Leaky Tap
While you can get your next level coffee out of an awesome mug, your furry buddy can get theirs out of a little toilet seat. Yep, you heard right, the dog loving team at The Leaky Tap want to make all creatures feel welcome. Grab your four legged friend and share some tasty treats and coffee this weekend (just make sure you drink from the one in the cup, not the toilet).
