Two dogs in a car on their way to Perth's best pet friendly accommodation

In need of a staycation but don’t want to leave your furry friend behind? Lucky for you we’ve compiled a list of the best pet-friendly hotels and holiday homes here in Perth.

So pack your suitcase, grab some treats (for both dog and human), and book yourself and your four-legged companion in to escape the chaos of the busy sidewalks.

Heritage Home In The Heart Of The City

Perth CBD

Chasing an urban escape with your furry best mate? This cool converted warehouse set within a heritage 1899 Salvation building in the city's east end is pretty hard to beat. Spread out across three levels, the creative character-filled townhouse features your own private internal courtyard tucked away from all the action and topped with loads of falling ivy—a perfect spot for your pooch to curl up while you plan which cafes to hit on your morning walk.

Mountolive Studio

Hovea

Located between Midland and Mundaring is Mountolive Studio, a light-filled rammed earth loft, with beautiful floor to ceiling windows, timber beams and a comfy king-sized bed for you to cosy up in at night. Surrounded by native bushland, the entire property is just waiting for walkies with your very good boy or girl. There's also a massive secluded pool reminiscent of something you’d find in a theme park (minus the slides and screaming children), that both you and your pup are welcome to swim in.

Heritage Cottage

Fremantle

This pet-friendly Heritage cottage in Fremantle has been restored and refreshed to showcase its best features, including original jarrah floors and embellished ceiling roses while giving it a more modern, livable feel. Location, location, location is the real winner for this stay. Surrounded by the best of Freo, you can easily head out and explore with or without your best friend in toe.

The Making of Alice

Doubleview

This lovingly restored 1950s home in Doubleview is just 3 minutes drive from Scarborough and all its beachy goodness, making it the perfect base for anyone chasing a coastal escape. Kickstart your day with beach swims and coffees then head back home to chill out. With some sweet bars, restaurants and cafes walking distance, you can head back out for dinner and drinks once you've recharged.

Delightful Cottage

Subiaco

Subiaco's leafy streets have to be some of the prettiest to hit up with your pooch on a morning walk, especially when you throw in a stop at Community Coffee Co. But the beaut location is just one of the reasons we love this pet-friendly cutie. The charming mint-hued heritage exterior gives way to a renovated delight with an incredible rear deck and garden that screams for an afternoon vino or two before trotting yourself down to Clint Nolan's lush new Mexican joint, La Condesa, for a feed.

Honeysuckle Cottage

Bickley

If you're chasing a getaway near Perth for you and a few fellow pet parents, Honeysuckle Cottage is an absolute stunner. We can't get over the huge wrap-around verandah and alfresco deck which looks out to enchanting views over Bickley Valley. There's also plenty of lush gardens for everyone to explore, plus you're conveniently located near some beautiful trails if you venture a bit further. Our fave part though might just be the pizza oven outside.

Station House

Mount Helena

Escape to the beautifully landscaped gardens and shaded verandahs of Station House in Mount Helena—a charming country home boasting three bedrooms, a huge private garden, three separate seating areas and a swimming pool. When those hunger pangs hit and you’re looking for your next meal, there’s no need to leave your pets behind. Head off on a quick 100-metre stroll through the forest and sit down for a pub feed at the Mount Helena Tavern, which is completely dog-friendly.

Suburban Cottage

Subiaco

For charming cottage vibes right on the doorstep of Subiaco’s food strip, book yourself in for a stay at this beautiful holiday home. With a gated garden terrace in the front and a spacious courtyard out the back, your four-legged friends will be spoilt for choice. If that’s not enough and you really need to stretch your legs, the entrance to Kings Park is roughly 700 metres down the road—or you could walk the opposite way and do a lap around the lake at Shenton Park, which is just over two kilometres away.

Citadines St Georges Terrace

Perth

City-dwellers who can’t go anywhere without their dogs will want to book a stay at Citadines St Georges Terrace. These fully-serviced apartments are located right in Perth’s CBD, so you can rest assured there are plenty of food options for the humans, with numerous cafes, restaurants and bars within short walking distance. For the pets? The dog-friendly rooms at Citadines include a comfy pet bed, food and water bowls plus a welcome pack to help your furry friend feel right at home—all you need to do is BYO pet food. With Elizabeth Quay being just a six minute walk down the road, you can set off on a scenic foodie adventure complete with delicious gourmet eats from V BurgerAuroreGusto and Amberjacks

Pier 21 Apartment Hotel

Fremantle

If you want to enjoy unbeatable views of the Swan River on your next staycay, you’re going to want to head to the luxurious Pier 21 Apartment Hotel on the sandy banks of John Street in North Fremantle. Take your furry friend for a walk through the sprawling tropical gardens or a stroll along the paths of the riverbank, then retreat to the comfort of your elegant, fully-serviced apartment or suite. Before booking in at Pier 21, just be sure to shoot them an email to let them know you’ll be bringing your pet with you.
