What's On Thursday 25 September:

Massimo Mele Tutti e Tavola at Isola

For one night only, Chef Massimo Mele is taking over Isola on Rottnest Island with a four-course feast inspired by his Italian-Tasmanian heritage. The menu leans into long-table hospitality, with paired wines that add narrative to every dish, before Massimo himself shares stories from his culinary journey across Italy. It's a fab excuse to head down for a last minute Rotto Trip with this beautiful weather and iconic chef all on one island.

Elsewhere Social Club at Si Paradiso

After a vibey launch event at Besk last weekend, Elsewhere Social Club is popping up at Si Paradiso. The girls out front give you a tiny sheep figurine that you exchange for a welcome prosecco or beer, plus, a set of conversation-starter cards, ranging from light-hearted questions to wild icebreakers. Unlike last week’s dim-lit bar energy, this setup encourages mingling and movement under the stars in the iconic open air amphitheater which creates loads of room for connection.

A Night In Greece At The Greenwood

Every now and again, The Greenwood ditches its pub identity and becomes a Greek tavern fit for cliff-side dining. A four-course feast is bringing refreshing hearty flavours, while two hours of free-flowing wine keep glasses topped up and conversations flowing even faster. Long table seating makes this one social by design, so you’ll leave having shared not just plates, but stories too! Bookings are essential.

What's On Friday 26 September:

Massimo Mele Taste Of The Amalfi Masterclass at Isola

Friday morning is your chance to learn straight from Massimo Mele himself in an intimate, sizzling beachfront cooking class. The session focuses on three signature seafood dishes inspired by the Amalfi Coast, with Massimo guiding you step by step. It’s immersive, relaxed, and capped off with a refreshing lemon sgroppino you can sip by the water while you learn how to replicate italia at home for your next dinner party! At $399pp, it’s a luxury cooking lesson and beachside escape rolled into one.

What's On Saturday 27 September:

AFL Grand Final

It’s official, the Geelong Cats are taking on the Brissy Lions this weekend for the Grand Final at the MCG, with first bounce at 12.30pm Perth time. Chuck on a cob loaf or some sausage rolls, pair it with anything carbonated in front of the telly…or, if you’re keen to make a day of it, we’ve got a list of Perth’s best pubs to watch the game.

Footy Free Lunch at Lil’s Rooftop Bar

Keen on dodging the footy crowd altogether? Lil’s Rooftop is hosting a footy-free long lunch, complete with bottomless spritzes and seasonal share plates. Two hours of bottomless doesn’t stop at champs and schooners, with limoncello, aperol and pink hibiscus to choose from. No sirens or screaming, just chill energy for your Saturday just don't forget to book ahead so you're catered for. If you do want to keep an eye on the scores, head downstairs to the main bar to catch a glimpse.  Either way, the day is covered.

Bloom Festival Opens In Joondalup

Honestly, there’s a lot happening in the northern suburbs, but this might be one of the most unique things on the calendar. Joondalup’s Central Park lights up this Friday as Bloom kicks off a month-long residency. The park becomes an illuminated enchanted garden filled with laser displays, interactive projections, and ambient soundscapes that tell the story of a bee connecting fragmented bushland. The result? An immersive sensory journey and visual spectacle, perfect for date nights or family strolls.

On The Border Rodeo Night

On The Border is swapping Mexican for bootscooting, leaning hard into rodeo energy this Friday with a cowboy-themed takeover. Instead of fiesta beats, country tunes are blaring over the speaker, with line dancing spilling across the bar floor next door, and a menu that mixes their signature Mexican plates with some hearty country-inspired twists. It’s Wild West chaos with tacos and tequila still on standby, proving that cowboy hats and margaritas are actually an elite combo.

Pink Pony Club Pop Party

Laneway just announced Chappell Roan is headlining next year, but if you can’t wait for the performance (or the presale!) The Court is turning into a Pink Pony Club and throwing a Chappell Roan party. Superficial DJs are playing iconic pop diva anthems from Chappell Roan, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, and Troye Sivan. It’s a femininomenon where everyone’s welcome.

The crew are marking the milestone with their ‘Annual Pissup’: $9 Coors and house spirits from 7–10pm, $40 Tequilaquarium fish bowls for the brave, and live sets from Ellen May and Twinbloom to layer your night up with some loud sounds. The Backlot Theatre is screening Remotely Famous this Saturday night, an easy-watching locallly made film with 100% of proceeds going to Telethon. Tickets are just $30, which covers the movie, red carpet entry and professional photos taken throughout the night (a nod to the plot of the film itself!). With everyone involved volunteering their time and talent, it’s a dose of culture and community spirit while raising money for a worthy cause!

DNB All Stars

One of the most prestigious Drum and Bass events has gone on a worldwide tour, and is actually landing in Perth over this weekend. Wellington Square is set for a full-scale rave with DNB All Stars, the heavy-hitting global drum & bass festival that brought one of last year’s loudest crowds. With the latest decibel laws lifting higher around Northbridge, no doubt you’ll hear this one from a mile away. They’re turning up the volume on the acts too, with international names like Friction, Benny L, and Born on Road. If you’re even slightly DnB-curious, tickets are still available.

Perth Royal Show Kicks Off At Claremont Showgrounds

The Perth Royal Show is back, literally bringing 12 hours of things to do in Perth every single day of the week. The classics are there - showbags, carnival rides, and animal encounters - but sit alongside new additions like the Cattle Corner and AgVenture Hill, where you can get hands-on the info on how to live your best farming life. Don’t stop at corn dogs or fairy floss, when over 120 stalls are serving everything from matcha to bao, plus a brand-new Sweetie Lane for the little sweet treat lovers. And after the iconic fireworks wrap up, Late Night Woody’s keeps the entertainment going for the grown-ups with live music and dance halls. The Royal Show is giving nostalgia mixed with new additions that make it worth an extra visit this year.

Glory Days At The Brisbane Hotel

The Brisbane Hotel is celebrating the long weekend in style, rewinding back to the glory days of their 2004 reno. OG drink prices from the early 2000s, old school hits soundtracking a day in the pub, and even OG bartenders are coming back for a shift to remind you of the glory days.

Bottomless Boogie Bingo Brunch

Bottomless Boogie Bingo Brunch might be one of the greatest combos of 'b' words I’ve ever heard. Mindarie Marina is bringing camp to the coast, with a chaotic mash-up of bingo, drag, and bottomless brunch. Hosted by the iconic Dean Misdale, the afternoon has crowd karaoke, dance-offs, comps, interactive games, and live music video rounds to nail your performance skills.
