Given the state of the world at the moment, you’d be forgiven for feeling a little lacklustre lately. And while fit-fluencers might tell you to smash a green juice and do some yoga, there’s an awesome new wellness festival that’ll blow these stale ol’ “healthy” ideals out of the water.
Taking place at the picturesque Mandurah Foreshore over three days this February, Flow State is a game-changing new wellness weekend focussed on all aspects of health and wellbeing, from financial wellness to sexual and mental health. Think mindfulness and malbec rather than kale smoothies and burpees.
They’ve got a huge speaker lineup to educate, motivate and inspire—we’re talking nutritionists, iconic movement leaders and entrepreneurs, sex and relationship gurus, plus, female finance queens. There’ll also be inspiring workshops, off-site events, a beauty bar and workshop tent, plus, dining and musical experiences to enjoy too.
So buckle up—it’s time to get healthy. And we don’t just mean in the ‘2 and 5’ and 30 minutes of exercise a day way. To give you an idea of what to expect, their first round of speakers announced includes the likes of:
Chantelle Otten—educator, counsellor and Instagram sensation, Chantelle Otten, is a pyscho-sexologist on a mission to break the taboo around sex and pleasure.
Anita Vandyke—Anita is a real-life rocket scientist and then some…no seriously, she’s also a medical doctor, artist, zero-waste environmental advocate and award-winning author who is dedicated to improving the health of our planet.
Briony Benjamin—storyteller and cancer survivor Briony Benjamin’s heartfelt manifesto on what to do when life gets tough is a roadmap for anyone thrown one of life’s (many) curveballs.
Danielle Caruana (Mama Kin)—this singer/songwriter and co-founder of a philanthropic foundation for artists, The Seed, is a natural storyteller with a knack for creative reinvention and bringing communities together.
Lucy Peach—an award-winning performer and period preacher, Lucy Peach wants nothing more than for people to truly own their power. And through her sell-out show “My Greatest Period Ever”, and subsequent Tedx Talk and book, she’s helped women everywhere do just that.
Sarina Kamini—spice mistress and journalist Sarina Kamini combines her immense understanding of food, spice, culture and family into one big bundle of knowledge.
