New Tourism Vouchers Mean You Can Swim With Whale Sharks For Half Price In The Coral Coast
Ever dreamed of swimming alongside whale sharks at Ningaloo or drifting through crystal-clear water with manta rays in Exmouth? Now’s your chance, with the State Government launching a new travel voucher scheme offering 50 per cent off selected tours and experiences across the Coral Coast, as part of efforts to support tourism operators impacted by Cyclone Narelle.
Running from 5 May to 30 June 2026 (or until allocations are exhausted) the Ningaloo Adventure Vouchers can be used on a range of experiences in Exmouth, Coral Bay and Carnarvon, with bookings available through to 30 November 2026.
Experiences included in the program span whale shark and manta ray swims, snorkelling tours, scenic flights, hiking experiences and Aboriginal cultural tours, with the initiative designed to generate immediate forward bookings for operators across the region.
The voucher scheme forms part of the Cook Government’s broader $1.45 million Cyclone Narelle Tourism Business Support Package, which also includes direct tourism business support payments and a targeted intrastate marketing campaign aimed at encouraging Western Australians to travel north.
Tourism Minister Reece Whitby said the initiative was intended to support local operators while rebuilding visitor confidence in the region following the severe weather event.
The Coral Coast remains open to visitors, with additional overflow camping facilities now operating at Koobooroo Oval in Exmouth to help meet accommodation demand. Travellers are still being encouraged to confirm accommodation availability prior to booking.
Visitors can access the discounts by registering through participating visitor centres, including the Western Australia Visitor Centre, Ningaloo Visitor Centre and Carnarvon Visitor Centre, where they’ll receive a unique booking code to apply at checkout.
More information on the voucher program is available via Australia's Coral Coast Adventure Vouchers.
