Hospo legends Lachlan Bisset and Craig Stewart of Hot Bread Group (the guys behind North Street Store) sure have been busy. After blessing us earlier this week with news that their much-loved Big Loaf Factory is now slinging fresh baked bread to the public on the daily, they've hit us again with even bigger news—the duo are opening a brand new dine-in venue in Shenton Park.
Sitting pretty in the newly restored, heritage-listed Victoria House, the new 350sqm alfresco-style venue will offer relaxed all day dining (to have in or takeaway) as well as pantry staples to fuel your home cooking—think country club meets community market place. Plus, get pumped because there'll be booze on the table too.
As for what’s on offer food wise, of course you can expect some damn good bread, as well as yummy takeaways for brekky or lunch on the go (including their cinny scrolls). And if you’re looking to stay longer, you'll be able to order in, take a seat and wash it down with a few glasses of wine.
Bisset said the venue will definitely be different to their others but with the same community vibe. “For us, it’s like a different album by the same band.”
The venue will form the centrepiece of the $65 million Victoria House development by Hesperia, the same team behind the stunning State Buildings and COMO The Treasury heritage projects.
It’s slated to open in late 2022 so for now you’ll have to just hunt down their baked goods at North Street Store, Little Loaf and Big Loaf Factory.
