Tame Impala Is Heading Home To Perth: Here’s How To Get There, Set Times and Set List

WA’s pride and joy, Tame Impala, is heading home this weekend and we couldn’t be more excited. This is the final leg of his sold-out ‘Deadbeat’ tour, and from previous shows flooding our socials, there's no doubt we’re in for a wicked treat.

Perth’s turn of the tour begins this Saturday 24 October and spans over to Sunday 25 October as well. But before you fully immerse yourself into this visual masterpiece, there’s a few things you’ll need to know.

How Do I Get To RAC Arena?

We reckon your best bet getting to RAC will be via public transport—as we know parking isn’t usually the best (or the cheapest)  in the city. And your Tame Impala ticket covers your transport fee three hours pre, during and post concert. You can either catch the train into Perth Station and make the short five minute walk to RAC or catch the yellow CAT bus which has a stop on Wellington street.

Driving in? RAC Arena offers about 680 car bays, and has a flat rate of $30. Otherwise there are other parking options nearby, including on Elder street, His Majesty’s, Watertown, and more. Just prepare for a 5-10ish minute walk.

Otherwise Ubers or taxis are a great alternative to either of these. Short-term drop off zones are littered around the arena. Post-event Ubers may become a little bit busier around the arena. Anyway you’re getting there, make sure you’re giving yourself plenty of time.

What Time Should I Arrive For Tame Impala's Perth Show?

For both Saturday 24 October and Sunday 25 October concerts:

6:30pm: Doors open

7:30pm: supporting act Ninajirachi performs

8:45pm: Tame Impala performs

The arena follows some pretty rigorous pre-screening security measures, so keep this in mind when arrival planning. Also, bags above an A4 size are not allowed into the arena so it's essentials only please friends. You’re also welcome to bring in one 600ml sealed bottle of water to keep those vocal cords flowing.
