There’s been no shortage of amazing news about Beaufort Street as of late, and honestly, we are living for it. With cool new venues popping up left, right and centre—such as Local & Aesthetic, Clarences Company Store and a huge project by the team behind The Old Synagogue in the works—2021 is shaping up to be a huge year for this once bustling strip.
Adding to that momentum, we’ve got the best news of all—Beaufort Street’s most iconic pub The Flying Scotsman will reopen in June as The Elford, an art deco-inspired refresh of the heritage-listed Clarke’s Building.
Paying homage to the venue’s history as a modern art deco commercial and retail premise, Three Pound Group—the legends behind this iconic revamp—will be working closely with architects and interior designers to maintain the art deco architecture while giving it a relaxed, contemporary look.
Those who are familiar with the epic eats from Three Pound Group’s well-known venues, The Stables, The Camfield and The Reveley, can expect equally mouth watering food offerings from Executive Chef Ben Keal to be on offer at The Elford, alongside thirst-quenching beverages.
We haven’t got an exact opening date for you yet, but stay tuned—you’ll be sitting pretty with a pint in no time.
In the meantime, work your way through all of the best new restaurants and bars in Perth.
