Sydney is a heavy-hitter when it comes to super-fresh seafood and on the shucking front, well, we low-key serve up some of the best damn oysters around.

This slippery seaside delicacy can set you back a pretty penny (especially if you're hoping to knock back more than one or two), but happily—plenty of Sydney's greatest oyster haunts drop prices for an hour or two once a week so you can indulge your oyster obsession.

Here, you'll find where to score oysters for as little as a $1, discounted champagne and spritz to pair them with and one-off dressings like smokey soy truffle. These are Sydney's best oyster happy hours.

Fratelli Fresh

Various Locations

Taking the crown for oyster steals this month is Fratelli Fresh—who will be dishing out dollar oysters (yes, just $1) every single day for the month of March. All you need to do is order a minimum of six oysters and a drink, though there is no maximum order if a half dozen won't satisfy your shellfish hankering.

Fratelli is also serving $1 scoops of gelato (16 flavours, including black forest, cookies and cream, tiramisu, Nutella and passionfruit and raspberry sorbet) and $10 spritz too.

When: Sunday 1 March - Tuesday 31 March

The Tilbury

Woolloomooloo

With $1 Sydney Rock oysters every Thursday night, let The Tilbury set you up with the perfect way to start your weekend celebrations. Dubbed "Oyster & Champagne Thursdays", you’ll be in for freshly shucked oysters by the dozen on the deck and a glass (or bottle) of Chandon.

When: Every Thursday from 6pm

The Morrison Bar & Oyster Room

Bondi Beach

If you're keen to match some salty, sandy beach views with your dozen oysters, The Bucket List's all-day Friday happy hour is a safe bet. The drop in prices includes spritz and oysters (a match made in heaven). Oysters are just $2 and Sofi spritz is $10 from open to close, making it a fine way to finish off the working week.

Manly

Whether you're an oyster lover, fanatic or connoisseur of all things bivalve, you're sure to have yourself a shuckin' good time at Manly Wine. The crew here churns out $1 oysters every Wednesday and if you’re here with your mates, you’ll definitely want to wash these down with the house sangria.

Grain Bar

THE ROCKS

This beautiful cocktail bar is tucked inside the Four Seasons Hotel, and while its seasonal cocktails and whisky collection are world-class, you’ll want to make sure you’re also across its oyster affairs. This 1920s-influenced bar with moody lighting, glass cabinets, leather seats and craft cocktails is probably one of the best date-night spots around.
