It's Good Food Month this October, so naturally you’ve been saving yourself all year for this 31-day period of non-stop indulgence, right? Just kidding, we love to eat alllllll year round, we just seem to have a little bit of extra space in our bellies come October!
We’ve lined up five awesome things to do in Sydney this week to help your Friday come around faster! From food trucks to trivia nights to a laneway festival in Parramatta, your post long weekend week will be much less painful.
This week, check out Parramatta Lanes, a Bourough Market-style fiesta, featuring ample gourmet street foods, craft beer, and live music to keep your toes tapping while you’re chowing down on Korean BBQ or a succulent smoked pulled pork roll. There’s something different on each night from Tuesday through to Friday so make a beeline for Parramatta CBD and don’t forget your empty stomach.
Tuesday Trivia at The Village Inn
Calling all hoarders of random facts and pointless bits of information! We know you can’t resist an opportunity to prove you’re the trivia king, and what better place to do it than at the pub! Every Tuesday night from 7pm, Paddington’s The Village Inn says “bring on the knowledge!” Get your ultimate pub quiz game on with a tipple by your side and lots of pub snacks! If only you could do this every night of the week.
Chinese Golden Week at The Hilton
Because over in China there’s a seven day national holiday commencing on the 1st of October, The Hilton thinks you should be celebrating too. They’ve put together a week-long extravaganza of Chinese food feasting, cocktails and live entertainment, and we think it’s going to be pretty awesome. Do it right and order the limited “Golden Feast menu” at glass brasserie which, for $78 per person, gets you an epic Chinese feast. Liverpool Food Truck’s World on a Plate
Did someone say FREE LUNCH?! Yes, you heard correctly, so put away your lunch money! As part of Good Food this October, all the mouthwateringly delicious flavours of the West are being dished up in Martin Place from 11am until 2pm, Tuesday through Thursday. It could be Polish cuisine or Lebanese fare, Indian grub or Argentinian tucker—each day is a surprise, so you’ll just have to head down to find out! Head here for more info.
I Dream of Pork dinner at Bishop Sessa
Are you guilty of drooling onto your pillow each night because you’ve been dreaming of digging your fork into a succulent barbequed pork?
