Melbourne’s Biggest Wellness Hub Just Dropped—It’s Got A Bathhouse, Co-Working & 200 Weekly Classes

By

We’ve seen office perks before, but move over free coffee—The Commons Health Clubs are taking it to the next level.

That’s right, The Commons crew are redefining work/life balance, opening two health clubs in Richmond and South Yarra, which are set to be complete wellness hubs.

These ultra-luxe integrated spaces will be alongside the co-working you know and love them for: think a sky-high-end gym, hundreds of weekly classes and a bathhouse.

Richmond, the first to open followed by South Yarra in January next year, will span more than 5000sq m and will feature state-of-the-art, design-led equipment and purpose built studios offering 20 different class styles and a roster of 200 classes per week.

Fancy a quick sweat on your lunchbreak? You can dive into reformer and hot mat pilates, dance, aerobics and strength training, or unwind with candlelit yin yoga, sound healing, breathwork or yamuna body rolling. This is on top of a member’s lounge, workspace and street-fronted cafe.

The whole space is set to be integrated—and you don’t need to be a member of The Commons co-working to sign up for the wellness hub, making the clubs accessible to everyone.

“The Commons has always been about more than just workspaces. It’s about creating a community that thrives,” Cliff Ho, co-founder and CEO says.

The super-luxe bathhouse will feature 37C and 39C magnesium infused baths, a 8C cold plunge, a traditional sauna, steam room, heated stone benches and will even host candlelit sessions with sound baths and fire and ice rituals.

The cherries on top (and there are many) are little quiet luxuries like a private laundry service, Dyson hair care devices, a fully-stocked perfume and cologne bar, cold eucalyptus towels for that post-sauna mop-up and even your own personal wellness concierge.

“After nine years of building and nurturing communities in the workspace, we are excited to integrate wellness, further enhancing the member experience and supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of our members,” Ho says.

“We’re seeing a real shift, especially among younger generations, towards valuing holistic health and more balanced work lives.”

In true Urban List fashion, we’re pumped for the post-workout cafe sitch, where you’ll be able to slurp back an organic smoothie, caffeinate and get ready to get back to the grind.

Foundation Memberships start from $79 a week for gym and class access and $119 a week to add on bathhouse access. For more info and to get involved, head over to The Commons Health Club website.
