As the name suggests this energetic eatery specialises in a cracking good gyoza, both sweet and savoury. Harajuku Gyoza also offers the cheapest dumpling deals we’ve seen—you can devour 2-for-1 gyoza plates on Mondays and Tuesdays before 3pm and $15 rice and noodle bowls on Wednesdays and Thursdays before 3pm.
The gyozas here are divine, from the duck gyoza with spiced vinegar and candied orange to the eccentric crispy cheeseburger gyoza to the famous wagyu beef gyoza with wasabi furikake. If the crispy-fried cheeseburger gyoza wasn't unique enough for you, dig into the crispy-fried mozzarella gyoza topped with cheese dust. Not one for the dumpling purists, but one for those who love to combine two of the best things in life (dumplings and cheese).

Uncle Su is The Star’s flagship Chinese restaurant and serves up impressive classic Cantonese cuisine, with innovative twists inspired by local Australian ingredients. If you're looking for a traditional and elevated dumpling experience, Uncle Su is our top pick on the Gold Coast.
Drawing on Chef Song Yao Su's passion (yes, the restaurant was inspired by him) for letting the natural flavours of fresh ingredients shine, you’ll dig into a delicious blend of Cantonese-style favourites with a selection of signature Beijing and Szechuan dishes. The enoki mushroom and vegetable dumplings and crab roe and scallop dumplings are both crowd favourites and the Shanghai-style Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) are a must-order.
We also love that Uncle Su has an impressive private dining room and multiple semi-private dining spaces that you can hire out for those special occasions. For gluten-free friends, there's also a dedicated gluten-free menu but alas, no dumplings feature on that menu.

From the moment Mr Hizola’s stepped foot on our sandy shores, our stomachs have been better off. This contemporary Cantonese restaurant in Burleigh slings up seriously delectable dishes and combined with its vibrant atmosphere, Mr Hizola’s has certainly secured its spot as one of the best places to devour dumplings on the Gold Coast.
You’re spoiled with a spanking range of dim sum here; tuck into fried wagyu and mushroom dumplings and shiitake mushroom steamed dumplings but make sure to leave space for the pork and chive pot stickers. Feeling spicy? Ask your server for the housemade chilli oil.

Rick Shores
3/43 Goodwin Terrace, Burleigh Heads QLD 4220

You might not have expected to see Burleigh icon Rick Shores on our lineup of the Gold Coast’s best dumplings but let us dissuade you from any doubt. Not typically considered as a ‘dumpling destination’ per se, Rick Shores boasts a small yet tantalising array of dumplings and dim sum that will have you reaching for the chilli oil, stat.
The black-toned pork and chilli Xiao Long Bao with ginger and red vinegar is a standout and you can’t go past the lobster and prawn jade Har gow with smoked honey truffle and chilli oil. You'll want to book in advance to get a table; we love sitting on the outdoor tables and soaking up the sunset. Hands down one of the best dumplings venues—and one of the best restaurants—on the Gold Coast.

Chef Akira Takagi is on a mission to spread soul food of Japan (aka ramen and gyoza) to Australia and once you've dug into Muso Ramen's warming ramen and gyoza, you'll have to agree he's done it.
While ramen is the main star at Muso Ramen, pair your ramen with pan-fried gyoza, boiled pork gyoza or deep-fried pork and cheese gyoza for your daiy dumpling fix. As yet, Muso Ramen does not have vegetarian gyoza.
