The quaint village of Mudgeeraba is one of those rare Gold Coast gems that, despite its steady growth and a sporadic sprinkling of new openings, has never lost its cosy, small-town charm. Leafy streets lined with fairy lights, traffic that naturally moves at a slower pace, and locals chatting over coffee like it’s an Olympic sport—all the tell-tale signs of an extremely loveable suburb.
While surrounding areas have transformed beyond recognition, Mudgeeraba has taken a different approach, evolving slowly and deliberately, with an emphasis on quality over quantity. The result? A collection of dining spots that have stood the test of time, winning loyal fans both near and far.
From long-loved institutions to fresh new faces, this foodie pocket has something to suit every type of taste. After wandering its peaceful streets and doing the hard yards (read: eating everything in sight), I’ve rounded up the best.
Here are 11 of the best restaurants and cafes in Mudgeeraba in 2025.

Mudgeeraba Cafes
Junior’s Deli

Don’t let Junior’s Deli’s small size fool you, this spot packs a serious flavour punch. On my first visit my expectations were high, and somehow, it exceeded every single one.
Upon each return, the biggest challenge is always deciding which menu item to tuck into, so much so that I’ve taken to bringing a few friends along and insisting we all order different sandwiches to share. From the hearty Philly cheese steak to the crispy chicken sandwich, every bite is pure magic.
It’s no wonder Junior’s is touted as serving some of the best sandwiches on the Gold Coast. And now, they’ve levelled up with breakfast on the menu, alongside seriously good coffee and matcha. Definitely one of Mudgeeraba’s best cafes.
Mudjira Village Eatery

Tucked in the heart of town, Mudjira Village Eatery is a Mudgeeraba icon, serving soul-fuelled goodness for over a decade. Fresh from a stunning renovation, this leafy courtyard spot is perfect for everything from a tasty brunch date to a lazy solo coffee.
The menu? Let’s just say it’s a love letter to flavour. Favourites like the Korean pork bowl—think crispy pork belly, coconut rice, a perfectly fried egg and a zingy ginger shallot sauce—keep regulars coming back, while the Maxmillian bircher with house-made coconut raspberry yoghurt is a brekkie bowl that deserves its own fan club.
I can confirm that the coffee (and matcha, chai, or even Vietnamese iced coffee) is next-level. Warm energy, lush greenery, and food made with heart make Mudjira one of the best cafes in Mudgeeraba, without a doubt. Owner Kate Bennett says it best: “It feels surreal to have made it to ten years... leading this team of people is my favourite job I’ve ever had.”
Cook Club
55 Johns Rd, Mudgeeraba QLD 4213

Cook Club is the exciting breakfast and lunch venture by the creative mind behind Hotel Panchos, and it’s safe to say it meets my hefty expectations left by its big-name sibling. Tucked in a dreamy forest setting on the edge of Boomerang Farm, this idyllic spot serves up a curated menu of bold flavours and killer cocktails on Fridays to Sundays.
Equal parts funky lunch spot and hinterland escape, Cook Club serves up bold, South-East Asian-inspired dishes that pack a punch. Heading up the kitchen is chef Rodrigo Paraboa, bringing his expertise from standout venues like Paper Daisy, Little Truffle, and Moustache Wine Bar to craft vibrant, flavourful plates.
Whether you’re sharing small plates or tucking into a generous main, every dish is a winner. Add a drinks list that’s up to par with everything else, and you’ve got one of Mudgeeraba’s best breakfast and lunch destinations. Its location at Boomerang Farm doubles as a wedding venue, offering a unique setting for everything from intimate celebrations to grand affairs.

Looking for a cafe that’s all about seasonal, soulful eats and drinks, made with love and passion? Well, look no further than The Hearth Café & Providore. This gorgeous foodie venture in the heart of Mudgeeraba is still relatively new to the party, but it’s already drawn a loyal crowd.
From the specials to the sweet treats and the seriously good coffee and matcha, once you head there, you’ll understand why it’s becoming more popular by the day. Plus, the place itself looks so gorgeous and befitting of the suburb it sits in—safe to say I’m a big fan.
Bon AppéTea
7 Johns Rd, Mudgeeraba QLD 4213
Not only does Bon AppéTea serve one of the best high teas on the Gold Coast, but it does so in what might be the cutest setting around. Light, airy rooms with leafy views from every window—it’s a true fairytale escape.
Though the setting is stunning, the star of the show is the French-inspired menu, and the Luxe High Tea is an experience in itself with buttermilk scones, organic sandwiches, and dainty pastries. Pair it all with your choice from the extensive tea list or add a cheeky boozy option, because why not?

The Oak Cafe strikes the perfect balance between elevated and homey, making its deck the ultimate spot for a wholesome, relaxed meal. The vibe might be laidback, but the food and coffee are top tier, from savoury waffles and perfectly poached eggs to crisp-yet-tender bacon and hearty salads.
Every dish feels like comfort with a touch of class, and every bite proves the team here knows their craft. Pair it with a silky smooth latte and settle in for one of the best breakfasts in Mudgeeraba.
Mudgeeraba Restaurants
Lenny Pizzeria
Shop 5/58 Railway St, Mudgeeraba QLD 4213

I honestly can’t decide what I love more about Lenny Pizzeria & Bar—the tree-shaded, festoon-lit romantic setting with tables spilling onto the pavement, or the mouthwatering Italian food. Think 72-hour leavened dough pizzas piled with toppings, perfectly moist meatballs, crispy arancini, and a buffalo mozzarella salad that will transport you straight to the Amalfi Coast.
Personally, I’m all about booking an early table so the sun sets as I dine, wine in hand, warm Sicilian olives to start, and a spiced lamb pizza on the way, while watching the sky turn pink and the staff dart between tables. Try it out for yourself.
Anekawa
C4/50/54 Railway St, Mudgeeraba QLD 4213
Small, warm and effortlessly cool, Anekawa is a quiet achiever delivering some of the most inspired Japanese cuisine on the Gold Coast. Chef Koki’s ever-evolving menu celebrates seasonal produce and layers flavour with remarkable depth—each dish lingering in your memory long after the meal ends.
The omakase is a must, but even à la carte plates like the potato mochi or delicate sashimi are unforgettable. Just don’t get too attached—favourites come and go as the menu shifts with the seasons. The space is perfect for an intimate, delicious evening that you won’t soon forget.
The Wine Barrel
8/59 Railway St, Mudgeeraba QLD 4213
The Wine Barrel is much like the suburb it calls home—quaint, full of personality, and one of those places you’ll wonder how you didn’t discover sooner. The focus here is on locally sourced, quality ingredients that shine in a stellar tapas menu.
Of course, the wine list deserves its own spotlight, featuring an impressive mix of local and international drops. Round up a few friends, order a spread of share plates (the burrata is non-negotiable), grab a bottle of wine, and claim a seat by the fire for an evening of pure sensory joy.
Pangaat Indian Restaurant & Bar
3/59 Railway St, Mudgeeraba QLD 4213

I could wax lyrical about the flavour sensation that is Pangaat Indian Restaurant & Bar, and I’m clearly not the only one. Showcasing flavours and techniques from across India, every dish here is a memorable experience, whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeaway.
From the perfectly crispy onion bhaji to the smooth, creamy palak paneer and the tender, fall-off-the-bone lamb shank masala, every bite delivers. The drinks hold their own, too, thanks to an impressive cocktail list. Herbivores are spoilt for choice, and almost everything on the menu is (or can be) made gluten-free.
Hotel Panchos
581 Gold Coast Springbrook Rd, Mudgeeraba QLD 4213
Image Credit: Hotel Panchos | Instagram
Hotel Panchos has been through many iterations over the years, and every one has been adored by Gold Coasters. These days, it’s all about bright colours, legendary margaritas and, of course, seriously good Mexican eats.
The menu is packed with flavour and caters to everyone; think zesty dips, loaded nachos, epic burritos, versatile mains, and not one but two taco menus, with each item just as tempting as the last. Add a lush setting among the trees, a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, and not one but two kids’ epic play areas, and you’ve got a spot that truly delivers on all fronts. All that's to say, Hotel Panchos easily earns its spot as one of the best—and most family-friendly—restaurants in Mudgeeraba.
