5 Awesome Things To Do In Melbourne This Week

By Steff Tan - 16 Oct 2017

It sort of only rained once last week, so the in-between hot and cold weather phase is nearly over…unless we just jinxed it…#soz. But whether it's indoor or outdoor, there are some standout events this week to get you feeling all of the things. From hipster to high-roller, there’s a little bit of everything going on.

Start plannin’. Here are 5 awesome things to do in Melbourne this week.

The night will play host to the release of Aromanticism, the debut LP (vinyl) release of the talented Moses Sumney, who has been quietly captivating the country with his music. Enter the raffle and you’ll be in for a chance to score Sumney’s latest record. After some intense judging, Darebin will be showcasing the top ten finalists to perform at the Grand Final. Hosted by local musical hero, Neda Rahmani, and accompanied by a string of special guest performances, it's a night of original songs and compositions rooted deep in Melbourne's music scene.

For some pretty legit fancy food and drink, head to Nobu this Thursday to help celebrate the release of Penfold’s latest and highly anticipated Grange wine. The 2013 vintage wine will join two other pinkies-out beverages as the accompaniment to a six-course contemporary Japanese dinner inspired by truffles, with a side of 24 karat gold and diamonds and the new ten dollar notes (just kidding). But it is all very Decadent with a major capital D.  Spots are flyin’ outta Crown so be sure to reserve yours asap before Richie Rich beats you to it.

Where: Nobu, Crown
When: From 7pm
