5 Awesome Things To Do In Melbourne This Week

By Tayla Rabie - 05 Mar 2018

In typical Melbourne fashion, this week is chock-full of awesome events to keep you happily sloshed. We've got food trucks, restaurant collab's and 2008 club bangers (we'll explain). Go out with t-shirt and jacket (you never know what Melbourne weather will throw at you) and enjoy the first week of Autumn!

Here are 5 awesome things to do this week in Melbourne.

Tuesday 6 March

BAR LOURINHÃ Greek Tavern Party

What’s not to love about a food collab, especially when its between chefs Matt2. Matt McConnell of Spanish-Portuguese institution Bar Lourinhã and Matt Germanchis of Anglesea’s Captain Moonlight are joining forces for one night only to create a Greek tavern party. Opa!

Stretchy pants on, guys. Arguably one of the best Japanese restaurants in Melbourne, Mr Miyagi, is offering a four-course snack-sized menu over Virgin Australia’s Melbourne’s Fashion Festival. Running for only 30 minutes, you’ll have ample time get back to the runway for your fashion fix.

Wednesday 7 March

Finally! An avenue to unleash your vast knowledge of completely useless info in a safe space at Station 59’s Trivia night. Best part? A Pot and Parma for $10. Sold. Don't forget to swing by El Tumi for a cheeky post-trivia pisco sour.

A gold coin donation is all you'll need to get into this food truck extravaganza. Chug down some insanely good food from thirty of Melbourne’s best food vendors, then knock back a couple of locally brewed bevs. Why not even get your face painted? No judgements here.

Friday 9 March

2008 Clubbing Reunion

Ahhh 2008. It was a simpler time. Well soon you'll be able to party like it's the 00's all over again: Brown Alley in the CBD are throwing a huge 2008 clubbing reunion party. All the banger you used to party to when UDLs were the height of fashion. Bring it on.

Rejoice, people. We're getting a dedicated peanut butter festival!
