The last few days of winter are finally upon us and there is a light at the end of that bleak, seemingly endless tunnel. Fear not Melburnians, just because the weather is yet to catch the memo on the change of seasons, doesn’t mean we haven’t! We’ve found the ultimate events to help let your spirits soar, including a whisky dinner, yoga silent disco and other epic dining experiences.

Here are five awesome things to do to in Melbourne this week.

Monday 29th

Uprooted Projects

Showcasing their love for art, music, food and bartending, each event will focus on one of these four elements to bring you the ultimate experience. Uprooted Projects' first event will be held this Monday at Carlisle Wine Bar where you can treat your taste buds with five courses of modern, delicious excitement. You can also get drinks to match your feed for an extra $35 per person. And who said Mondays were boring?!

The Left Handed Chef Taster Dinner

The Left Handed Chef team are having their first tasting dinner ever! Diners will get to explore a variety of delicious combinations and flavours, and will then vote for their favourites – which will be put on their permanent menu. There’ll be six drool-worthy courses, all exhibiting the breakfast and brunch meals the chef has been working on! Breakfast for dinner sounds pretty damn swell to us. Best bit? Tickets are only $35 per person, and bookings are essential.

Tuesday 30th

Flow After Dark Yoga Silent Disco

Get ready for 90 minutes of fluid beats for you to jam to – all while doing yoga! Featuring Sydney DJ James Mack, this yoga sesh is for people of all fitness levels. After Flow Athletics’ last sold-out event, we’re sure this will get you loving your workout right as the warm weather hits. Melbourne is just one stop of many on this national tour, so get on board the silent disco bandwagon! Tickets are $69.95 per person, and you can reserve yourself a spot here.

Wednesday 30th

1806 Whisky Dinner

Six whiskies. Six delicious food dishes inspired by local cuisine. This Wednesday at 7pm. Need we say more? Okay fine, we’ll say a little more. Whisky lovers, the whisky event of the year is here. 1806 is hosting the ultimate evening to help you get over hump day. Featuring a whole range of indulgent amber liquid, including a 17-year-old Caol Ila, we guarantee you’ve never had an evening quite like it. Your boozy evening will feature the likes of house smoked salmon, seared duck breast with rhubarb, and honey and stout tart with buttermilk ice cream. So paint the town red on Exhibition Street at 1806.

Thursday 1st

Best Great Western’s Wine Dinner

This Thursday night, Meat Fish Wine is hosting the ultimate dinner of four delicious courses, each paired with multiple Best Great Western wines. You’ll be able to sip on vintages from 1994, all the way to current release wines. On arrival, guests will feast on indulgent canapés of smoked eel, followed by an epic dinner. Think sea bream ceviche, beef short ribs and artisanal cheeses to finish off what is sure to be the best Thursday night you’ve had in a while. If you feel like treating yourself, this is definitely the place to do it at!
