One of the more luxe foodie things to do in Melbourne this week, La Belle Époque is the ultimate in fine dining and champagne! Join Kyla Kirkpatrick—a.k.a The Champagne Dame—and Circa Executive Chef Ashly Hicks for five courses of stellar food, all matched with Perrier-Jouet champagne. They’ll also take you through the history of the Belle Époque era, one of the most glamorous periods in history. You better hurry because tickets are close to sold out!
Thursday 30th April
Our friends at online art gallery Many Hands (which is currently fundraising on Pozible) are throwing a party to celebrate The Art of Doing Good—hurrah! There’ll be delicious food provided by North Melbourne foodie hotspot Little Africa, drinks from Quiet Deeds brewery and Scarlett's Spritzers, live art (get involved, people!) and a DJ set from Matt Nico, who is usually behind the decks at Section 8 and Ferdydurke. It’s all happening from 7pm at Goodtime Studios in Carlton—see you there!
Friday 1st May
Step outside your comfort zone this week and get involved in the Altitude Shift abseiling challenge, a fundraiser on behalf of the brilliant Anglicare Victoria. Run in conjunction with Zenith Events, Altitude Shift will see participants abseil down the 113 metre St James building on Bourke Street, with money raised helping to support Victorian youth living in foster care. It’s definitely one of the more unique fundraisers we’ve come across, that’s for sure, and we jumped at the chance book in for this heart-pumping experience. Go on, you know you want to do it as well…and when it’s for such a good cause, how can you say no?!
